Morning all,
I just popped on to see how cath got on with her meeting and thought i would write and give you an update as to why i not been on much lately..
I was having a gd few days and i decided to ruin my run by going out(2wks ago sat)..Had a great night but suffered for many days after..The joys of arthur eh?? lol
I have had to apply for ESA as my ssp has stopped from work,,
My OH has officially moved in so taxcredits have been stopped till i fill in new form, so money is a big worry at the moment along with everything else..
My daughter has to pick her options for her GCSES and the meeting to discuss this is next thursday half 7... I have asked if i could have an earlier appointment asi am normally very worn out from arther at this stage, so am normally bathed and in pj's chilling.. The answer was no, and i was told that if i was bothered about my daughters future then i would attend.. This really got my back up as i am very much involved in Tammis school work.. so i will be attending even if i get a taxi there an back just would have been easier if they could have tried to accomodate for me, but obviously not...
Am still waiting for Hydrotherapy appointment and OT assesment..
Have stopped feeling so sick off Hydroxy so that a good thing can't say i noticed any benefits yet but it is still early days..
Have recently been for a transvaginal ultrasound too as i have endometriosis and had a partial hysterectomy 2 years ago but still suffer with pain..The scan showed a large cyst on my remaining ovary and a large mass,,, the lady seemed a bit concerned, would not explain why as she didn't want to worry me.. am a lil concerned now lol.. i have to go back in 6 weeks to see if there are any changes.. i hoping it will be ok.. Worst case scenario is they remove my remaining ovary which i could end up being better from so i not being negative at the moment am putting it to the back of my head and carrying on taking each day as it comes..
I just wanted to say that i haven't forgotten you all just had a lot on my mind as you can tell lol..
You have all been great on here, DD, cath, Tony, Toni, JUlie47, valval and many more you have been really supportive.. i have been thinking of you all even though i not been around much..Sending you all a big hello and hugs...xxxxx

You certainly must have a lot on your mind, traluvie. Good news about the hydroxychloroquine/sickness thing. Hopefully the benefits'll kick in soon and help a bit. It can take a while. In my (very inexpert) opinion, any other health problems can make the arthritis worse so the ovarian cyst is probably not helping at all and sounds pretty nasty in its own right. The sooner it's dealt with the better all round. Hope things go well for you.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Tracy
seems as you have had a lot on your mind lately.
Not very nice about your daughters school not giving you a different appointment. I am sure that they could fit you in perhaps one lunch time or as soon as school finishes. I think also that that was a terrible comment to make, ofcourse you are concerned about your daughters future, that was the reason you asked for a different appointmnt.
You will just have to rest as much as poss that day and hope that the meetings don't go on too long. Good luck to your daughter with her choices....I remember it well ...
Good that the sickness has now gone and I hope you don't have to wait too long for the hydropool appointment.....mmmm....could just do with a swim.....Can't swim though.....but the thought of that pool sounds good..
Anyway just sending hugs (((((((())))))) and hope that everything is sorted soon for you.
Oh and glad you had a good night out but sorry you had to pay.

Payback is not always inevitable but it is usually worth the fun. As sticky says, other health problems can impact on arthritis, either by making it harder to cope with or exacerbating it. As for the school, well I am not surprised: teachers can easily rank alongside doctors/consultants in the arrogance stakes - obviously as a mere parent you should realise that they are doing you a huge favour in educating your child in the first place. You know what teachers say to children - 'if we do that for you we will have to do it for everyone else' (yeah, and?) so I am sure that is behind their reasoning for not giving you another appointment.
I noticed you hadn't been around - you have been missed! It's lovely to have you back and I hope that things can be sorted/resolved for you soon. I wish you well with the ESA - don't be surprised to be turned down, that seems to be the default setting nowadays. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
I am so sorry that you have been having such a tough time with everything hun... Hopefully things will be sorted and soon... Best of luck to your Daughter, this is an important time for her, the teacher's comment sounds about right, arrogant #####.... (fill in as you desire)
I am glad the the sicky feeling has gone, hope that the hydroxy helps you, I got no benefit from it other than losing a stone and a half  As I have said before, NO, it is not the next miracle diet pill...
It's good to have you back though hun...
Catch you soon
Look after yourself and don't let the buggers get you downMe-Tony

Thanks all for your kind words..
Yes people can be quite arrogant at times... the parents evenings are now done seperately with each teacher... so one teacher will say 6.15 and another could say 7-15.. not a great plan of theirs, although they do try and keep the appointments close together... no great help to me, but like i say i shall be there regardless.. i had no1 to support me when i was growing up so am damn sure i am going to be there for my children...
DD i have heard alot of people are getting turned down for DLA and ESA, i have recently applied for both, sent off all medical letters and any other supprting documents.. all i can do is wait and see.. that is another burden but also another hurdle to cross along with many others
Tony you had me excited about a diet pill then lol.. although i get told i skinny enough as i am without going on a diet lol..Good to have you back and on form too Tony..
Julie the thought of Hydro does sound exciting, the bath feels lovely when i get in it at home have quite a few a day to help with my joints lol.. I have heard you can hurt after, but anything is worth a try..
Sticky.. I have heard that having other ailments can make you feel worse.. kind of a concoction all mixed together.. I have always had gynae probs and cysts am kind of getting used to being ill lol.. The worse case scenario is removing my final ovary, shich in hindsight would probably beneficial to me because of my endometriosis.. so will wait and see and push it to the back of my mind untill further notice..
How is everyone else doing then???
Have i missed much??
DD are you feeling better??xxTracyxx0 -
You missed a rather rowdy trip to France in Rehab's floating shed..
Think it is now moored outside the Police Chief's house in Jersey

Hi Tracy,
Im sorry youve had a tough time recently, and stressful too,
I rarely go out at evenings as if im not in bed by 9 i suffer the next few days too, sucks eh!
My son is chosing his subjects for his exams also and i am worried about managing to attend his parents evening to speak about this as i will ahve to run all around the school! Last time i was in the school they couldnt find the key to lift so i had to grapple my way up the stairs with no help other than my crutch. Joy!
I too have just applied for ESA as i am not entitled to any sick pay, were on a very tight budget at me in January my partner had to move back home as i was that bad with arthritis i couldnt manage the 4 kids. It took weeks for tax credits to come through but luckily i had been saving and we lived off that. It did arrive in nick of time though. You wouldnt believe that financially as a family we are only £20 a week better off with OH back. And then we have his car expenses food etc. What an upside down world we live in. I even suggested today trying to convince doc to sign me back to work but it would just be foolhardy and i wouldnt be able to do it any way.
Good luck with ESA and feel free to PM me any time.

Am I feeling better than what? I did have a nasty bug (I think it was trying to be flu but the flu jab inhibited it) and so dropped the meth and humira for a couple of weeks, now I am back on them and have reached the dizzy heights of moderately grotty, which is a relief! Thank you for asking traluvie, it is kind of you to remember I wasn't well given everything else on your mind. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Has for your daughters school, I wont swear on here, but how arrogant are they, and not knowing your circumstances.
