I've recently been far too ill to go work and have lost two weeks as a result. I did attend the local surgery for bloods and these have come back as being low in phosphate content. I'm back on Thursday for more bloods.

Does anyone have any pointers as to what causes of low phosphates are?

I think that phosphates are important to the body for bone renewal and repair, possibly for teeth too, and they have summat to do with nerve functions. What medications are you on? I don't know what one does about them, your GP or practice nurse should be able to answer that for you on Thursday. If it's case of lacking something like calcium (I don't know that it is, I am surmising) then a supplement could be taken to improve levels. Perhaps your diet needs some adjustment - I think your doc is the best one to advise you. I hope you feel better soon and can get back to work. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
