Arthritis MRI found Gynea Cyst!

Hi, I don't expect you remember, but an MRI I had for my back showed up a cyst in the pelvic region, so I had to go of to the Gynea dept. Well, after loads of tests, discovering that the pain I thought was constipation, (just a small, dull ache), was the cyst and having more scans, the results have just come through.
I was fast tracked as it could have been nasty, but it has turned out to be 2 cysts one 7 cm and the other 2mm (tiny) its due to endometrosis growing after my hysterectomy as I have HRT. So I have to go back every year for a ultra sound scan and gyae exam  and ring for an emergency appointment if I have a lot of pain (they can burst or twist!!!).
Good, rapid and informative gynea. Wish he was a Rheummy! Sorry to write so much! Sue

    Hi Sue

Glad you did get it all checked out and hope it has eased some of the inevitable worry. Sounds like they are looking after you which is all good.
Hope they don't give you any bother and that all goes well. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Well, Woodbon, I don't know whether to congratulate or commiserate. A bit of both, I guess. Still, better the devil you know. Hope it/they behave.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

This is basically good news woodbon - knowing you I bet you were fretting HUGELY. I reckon gynaes have an easier life than rheumatologists - at least they can see what's wrong, know how things could progress and deal with them accordingly. Not so straightforward for a rheumatologist tho, is it? Never mind - the main thing is that you are OK and that is good to hear! DD

    Hi Sue,

Last week i had scan due to my endometriosis and the pain i was experiencing after my partial hysterectomy.. I also had a cyst, she didn't say what size it was all i know is that it is bigger than 3 cm and i had a large blood mass too, so i have to go back mid April now for a second scan to see if theer has been a change in size.. The cysts are very painful when they burst, suffer withem quite alot.. so i can understand how you are feeling, they only remove the cysts if necessary now adays.. which is good as it's hard enough with arthritis and endometriosis without anything else..
I hope all goes well, pm me anytime if you want to talk about endo..x
