I would love to come home from work and not be exhausted and aching; to walk as far as I want, without tiring and limping; to be able to play chase and run with S .... and not to have to watch how many spoons I am using up. However this isn't going to happen - so back to the real world!!

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

In my first pregnancy, as often happens, my R.A. just left me for the duration. It felt incredible. Everything was so easy it was as if I was walking on air. No such luck during my second, though. No third.

If it went now I'd get in a game of cricket.

    Hi Pat,

Difficult cus there is so much I need to do first.... mind since its something you would like...

I would get hold of a really good horse and ride a dressage test.... i got to intermediate before the stiffness in my back meant I couldn't move up. I also would love to do a open cross country... long as the horse wanted to and was willing  As i remember they usually are.... sometimes a bit too willing :lol: Cris x

I would learn to dance, I always wanted to do ballroom dancing and planned to do so once I retired - I thought it would be a good way to get out and meet people and have some fun. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

PLEASE can I join you, skezier? I only ever got as far as RDA's Preliminary Dressage Test A ( I could never ride right to the side of the arena cos my feet stuck out at right angles and got in the way) but, if we're dreaming, I think I could handle a good cross country gallop.

The second thing is my garden...it makes me so sad to see it at the min...but I never give up hope...I am thinking of adopting an old dog that walks has slow has me.. and my oh say he will make me some raised beds in the garden

    Hi Pat

    Oh my so many choices?

Staying awake on my days off would be a start!

Sorting out my sadly neglected garden would be high on the list, but for fun I would so love to be able to ride a bike again. h040.gif

    best wishes

Hey, dachsund, why not join skezier and me? We're doing the odd dressage test then going for a cross country gallop. Fancy it?

So that's skezier, skinnylizzie, dachsund, madwestie and me for the horses. Maybe we could start out with a dawn beach ride, dressage followed by games, then a long cross country in the afternoon. (Might need a change of horses.) After that it's up to you guys as I have to be back to star in the Twenty/20 cricket match in the evening.

Toni you wouldn't believe it but today he said " could you lay on the floor and finish fixing my brake cable on my Lambretta for me" so I guess that is what he really wants!
