I'm going to say sorry now. But I am really fed up with the pain and my left hip giving giving out on me. Nights are getting really hard, waking up in pain, I've been getting up at 4am.
Hopefully I will get some good news tomorrow because I am seeing the specialist.
My husband is going into hospital in just over a weeks time for his implant and he will be imobile for quite a while, but he has waited for this for a long time.
I just feel really stressed and tires all the time and really cheesed off with it. I do now use a stick, that does help.
I know that you are all feeling much the same so, soory again. I am just feelling sorry for myself and I shouldn't do.

Hi Karen,
You sound just like me at the moment so I know how you feel. Every day (it feels like) I get a new pain to worry about. It's rubbish when it starts to affect your sleep. What specialist is it that you're seeing tomorrow? Remember to tell him/her everything, including how stressed you feel.
Hope it goes well tomorrow and your hubby gets on ok too,

there's nothing wrong with letting it out every now and then. Does you good, I believe so anyway, as long as it's not a habit. Got to be positive too..
I do understand the pain and lack of sleep like do many of us on here, so you have my sympathies.... I hope your hubby goes on ok, will he be kept in for a while? If so do you have someone else there to help out? This is usually when them small people that sometimes live in our houses come in handy... I think the correct term for them is children.... Lol
Best wishes for your appointment tomorrow and also for your hubby's op...
Look after yourself..

Hi Karen,
No need to apologise on here, we know exactly where you are coming from, seems that the hips are all playing up at the moment (might have their own forum and all play together lol) The other night I was woken with the most agonising pain in my hip, it eased eventually when I managed to change position but its the second time its happened ----and --- I don't even know if I have arthur in hips!
Hope that your oh op goes ok, and that your appointment is good too, feel free to come back and rant!

Hi Karen
Just wanted to call in here and acknowledge your post and hope you have a good appointment tomorrow. Hopefully some better pain relief for the nights would be a start. I'm sure you are worrying about hubby too, which won't help. So do keep posting love and let us know how you both are doing when you feel able?
As a fellow sufferer in the hip stakes, you do have my very real sympathy. You are fully entitled to be cheesed off and we do understand those down times. I hope you have a better night tonight.
take care

Please don't ever apologise - we are here to support you as best we can and we do understand a lot of what you are going through. Pain is wearing. It grinds you down, saws and rubs away at you, it disturbs sleep, slows activity, it is a beast and every now and again it is good for the soul to stop all the smiling and cheeriness and fake bonhomie and have a jolly good sulk. It's when the sulking becomes a habit that action against it needs to be taken but every once in a while a dip in the pool of self-pity is a good thing. The best of luck for this afternoon. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Karen
I do know some of what you are going through my love, I am waiting for a THR, its not so straight forward because of the pain from my back.
I find using an elbow crutch helps me more than a stick, the stick was making my shoulder ache.
Wishing you well with everything
Love

You have good reason to feel really fed up, youre in constant pain, sleep is interrupted and your OH is going into hopsital too....It never rains but it pours eh? Think you would have more reason to be annoyed with yourself if you had no reason to moan and life was all rosy but it aint....
Hope your appointment goes well today and if you need the stick well so be it...I use one too but couldnt do without it so what the hell!!
Chin up...
