Sneezing

I have a rather strange question.
Over the last few weeks I have had an arthritis flare.
Pain in my tendons
Hands being hit with a hammer
Tiredness
Hot and sweaty
feeling .......
But thinking about it I have noticed something else - sneezing
over the last few weeks I've been sneezing quite regularly - not all the time but a memorable amount of time! (I have a tendency to drive rather fast and closing your eyes when you sneeze is a bit disconcerting)
The thoughts gone through my head - I wonder if this is a coincidence or perhaps an allergic 'thing' is bringing this on?
Has anyone else had any similar experiences or am I just clutching at straws?
Martyn

I've been sneezing a lot in the last 2 weeks and have put it down to Spring having sprung and all the accompanying pollens that are about and it happens in car a lot too but I've put that down to the same problem.. its probably the flare thats giving you the symptoms . just my opinion of courseOur worst times are always our best lessons.0

You have a flare of some form of auto-immune arthritis (I think) so it would make sense for your sneezing to be related to that: it was around about now my hayfever season would kick in and last until late September, then between September and March it was classed as rhinitis. In my case various pollens were the triggers for the summery bit, various moulds for the wintery bit. Since the meth, sulph and humira I have none. Bliss. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Interesting theory Martyn, but the others could be right about the pollen.....will you ask your rheumatologist when you next go?

It was my idea too - seeing as I believe both are an immune response
I'll ask the rheumatologist when I next see her0 -
Oh Martyn,
I can definitely sympathise with you on the sneezing front! It even wakes me in the night.
Be thankful it doesn't ruin your mascara Seriously though it's very, very annoying and I have asked my Biologics nurse about it in the past and he says "Sadly it goes with the territory".
I've now formed the opinion that it's better out than in, I could've exploded ages ago

Hi Martyn, how's the sneezing today? Diminishing, I hope. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Martyn, I hope you are not sneezing as much now.
I take anti histamines all year round due to allergies related to asthma, but my OH has been noticing at he has been sneezy and snuffly the last couple of weeks and has just started to take his anti histamines( he does not have OA or RA) So it could be the start of the pollen season.
It's worth mentioning it at your appointment though.
