Hello everyone, hope you are all having a good day. I saw the specialist this afternoon and I was only in there for a short time. He asked me a couple of questions and ,yes, I am on the waiting list for the hip replacement, which apparently is a 4 to 6 week wait.

So, hubby goes in tuesday, will be unable to do anything for about 4 weeks, then I should be going in.

I am glad but now feeling sorry for our kids having a couple of old farts for their parents.
Karen xx

So, not too long to wait for a new lease of life to arrive - that is good news. I think all children end up with old farts for parents, sooner or later. It's the natural order of life. DD

    Hello!

Glad you are now on the list for the replacement.

Very best of luck to both you and to your husband.

And well done for maintaining your sense of humour (comment re the kids) under difficult circumstances! I'm sure it helps!

thanks for all your good wishes. I am looking forward to being able to go out and about with my two girls. also, regarding my oh, his is not repairable, the op is only so he can reduce on the oxycontin, oramorph and everything else he has to take. He will never get any better.

So you can see I need to be fit.

    speak to all soon
