i have many hates but my main one is other drivers!!!dont you just hate drivers that seem to find the speed to pull out in front of you from a side road and then proceed to drive painfully slow!! or a road where theres a sign clearly warning you that one side is closed, everyone gets in the right lane but theres always those few that completely ignore the sign and try to barge in,i hate those and always take great delight in blocking them mawhaha

Anyone else got any driver hates????

I hate old people driving, especially women. They are in their 80's at least and you follow them into a car park. Of course there arent many spaces and you get stuck behind the person who is reversing in and out of a parking space trying to get straight and they do it in about 50 attempts .

Add to that the idiots who drive at 100 miles an hour on the motorway and get behind you flashing their lights, or the middle lane hoggers. Arrrgggggghhhhhhhh

THat is anything to drive me insane

I find the following driving habits offensive:

    1. Driving up to a roundabout with no anticipation of what's happening on the roundabout, stopping at the line and THEN looking and seeing if it's clear. :x
    2. At traffic lights do people think that a space ship is going to beam them out of there or should they be ready to set off when the light turns green?...amber means 'get ready'. :x
    3. Stop warming your wheel-arches by unnecessarily braking when you wish to slow down a little bit..in many cases simply lifting your foot off the accelerator pedal will slow you down enough for that gentle corner. :x Only racing drivers should be on the brakes OR on the accelerator with nothing in-between. If you can't match the speed of the traffic ahead, you maybe shouldn't be driving.

    rant over.

Not so, a quick press on the brake pedal, lights brake lights but not enough to actually brake, disconnects cruise control (well it did on mine).

the accelerator should also do the same, without confusing other drivers, making them think you are braking for no apparent reason... :|

Regarding the driving habits of the elderly - one day that will be us. Think on't.

Irritations? People who do not know how to use a handbrake, those who do not know their dashboard sufficiently well to know they have their fog lights on (but then turn them off when it is foggy), people who do not use the little flashing orange lights (apart from when illegally parked - 'Wot due mean, I carnt park 'ere? Me 'azards are on!' ) and those who insist on driving at 25 in a 40 limit. Oh and those who brake every time another car comes towards them or they are going round a slight bend in the road. DD

It's a well know fact the loosest nut on a car is the one behind the wheel, what they need to do is instead of fitting all those nice safety things like air bags ABS they should fit a 4 inch steel spike in the centre of the steering wheel on every car, that would stop a lot of the stupidity, and as my old dad use to say going isn't the art it's stopping, how right he was!.

Old farts who should have given up driving years ago as they cannot cope with modern traffic conditions (Avoid any car where the driver has a flat hat or a trilby and drives a Civic or Jazz).

Yes lol! i swear the slow drivers always have trilbys on or they have cushions and a box of tissues on their parcel shelf! im not a speed demon but when they drive at 30 or 40 down a beautiful striaght road it drivessss me MAD!!

CYCLISTS ! ! Hate them all ; here in Brighton we are very well served by numerous cycle lanes , many of which are separated from the road by a raised kerb , sadly very few cyclists use them preferring to zig zag up and down the busiest parts of the roads ; and as for the possibility of any of them following the rules of the road and maybe stopping at red lights ! Think I need to relax with a cup of tea and calm down now . Jillyb

Pressing the accelerator while in cruise mode makes the car accelerate above the set speed; lifting off again, the car returns back to the set speed. It won't disconnect the cruise control at all.

Pressing the brake pedal temporarily disconnects cruise while remembering the speed setting, it is then turned back on using the 'resume' switch. Turning cruise off at the on/off switch means that the required speed then has to be reset and that is why drivers tap the brake pedal, to more easily return to their pre-saved speed when required. That was how mine worked.

You should try driving here Cars in Spain are made without indicators Roundabouts are a nightmare I have survived driving here for 8 years by watching a cars front wheels as I am waiting to go rond If they point right he iks coming round
Another move is to realise you have pulled off the motorway at the wrong slip road so it's straight back on :evil :evil :evil
