    Hi all

Im suffering a little with the knee it keeps clicking so for the last couple of days Ive not done much, except for the odd bit of house work.... and living off pot noodle as Im struggling with tins etc

My Jaw has now started to click and I can feel it grinding a little. The methotrexate 20mg has hit me like a freight train, I just want to sleep, I had fatigue when I was on 15mg but nothing like this, I mentioned it to the missus but she said it can't be the MXT as its only been increased by a small amount... but I dont agree!! my concentration levels have dropped I feel like a wreck...

    Mark

Mrs Lorica knows not of what she speaks - this is potent stuff and although the increase appears trivial it sure as hell ain't. Are you on tablet meth or injected? I suspect tablet - so how about switching to the injected version? You can have a lower dose as the liquid is more potent than the tablet form (I presume as it is not digested first) so that could help the tiredness levels, yes? How much FA do you take and when? DD

    Hi DD

Yes I do take Meth in tablet form, and I take 1x 5mg of folic acid on a thursday (meth day is Sunday)

The thought of the injections doesnt appeal, Im sick to death of being a walking pin cushion...

    Hi Mark,

Right there over the tiredness but having more fa did help a bit.. did more for the sickness and hair loss in my case but it might be worth asking wither your rumo, gp or if you got one a rumo nurse about adjusting it?

Hope you are still letting that knee rest a lot though cus its very slow to work its self out. Cris x

yer Im still trying to rest but still struggling. The tiredness isnt as bad today so far but im sure if I get comfortable on the setee ill be blowing z'ds in no time at all.

Missus has given me instructions that I need to wash the dishes....

I'll rest as much as i can

    Mark

PS DD Theres a lot that Mrs L knows not of what she speaks but that is a whole other thread.....

The injections are a doddle and perhaps the smaller dose would help. How about taking the FA twice a week, two days after your meth and perhaps two days before? Obviously you need to chat this over with your rheumatology nurse but if the tiredness is causing you such distress then surely something has to be done or tried.

I agree about the pin cushion thing but our days of choosing what happens to us are gone, I reckon. Life is now about managing what we have in the best way we can. I hope you can find an answer to it, gawd knows arthritis itself is enough without the complications of the meds. Here's hoping the red starts to have an effect and soon. DD
