Me versus the Stairs

I lost!!
Managed to lose my footing (although not totally sure what happened) and fell down the stairs at lunchtime. Luckily my mum had my baby and I didn't do too much damage. My bum really really hurts though, got lots of padding there, but I landed full whack on it.
I do this a lot and I have no idea why??

Oh Jenzie...
I do feel for you..
I can often slip on my stairs and had a few bruises from it, so i know how you are feeling..
Sometimes it's from my silly slippers(i have no more lol) or my fluffy socks or i just kind of go and don't know why..
I hope you feel better soon..
sending you big hugs..(((((X)))))xxTracyxx0 -
Hi Jenzie,
Thank goodness you mum had your baby, and no broken bones. Unlike me! I fell down my stairs last Friday and broke my wrist!
Stairs are bloomin lethal! My 3 lads think they are being very funny by putting hazard signs up (eldest printed them off t'interweb) and plastered them over the bannister!!!
Seriously glad you're ok, take it easy hugs x'grá agus solas'

My knees were forever giving way on me, ended up having to do the whole down the stairs backwards dance in the end...
We have now moved and don't have stairs anymore...
Do you have two bannisters? Social services should be able to come and fit a second one for you if not...
Hope you are ok..
Take it steady as you may hurt more tomorrow... Try rest if you can

Oh Jen!
Thank goodness you didn't have Harry in your arms!!
My eldest fell downstairs christmas eve with the cat in her arms though and saved the cat so yo would have 'saved' him and done yourself some REAL harm.
Hope you are recovering now.
Love

Concentration is the key. Gone are the days when we could walk, talk and chew gum all at the same time. Concentrate on every movement, especially on stairs, and you should be fine. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Don't worry me & the stairs have had several fallings out!!
The usual is legs giving way,the worst being top of stairs to bottom with me ending up with broken coxic and bruises, I was very lucky it wasn't worse! The usual legs giving way seems to be bottom 3/2 stairs with broken toes!
The funniest story with me versus stairs is when I was a young 16yr old and had been on my 1st date with my now husband! I was you could say worst for wear!! And my mother sent me up the stairs before her and my sister, and I decided to pass out at the top of the stairs and went as you say **** over tit!! down all (I think it is 16 stairs?) and took my mother and sister out like skittles!! Well the next day I woke up with the hang over from hell and a very, very sore head! And very angrey mom and sister! When they told me what had happened we had a little chuckle but we all had bruises for a while and I suffered with a day long hangover and 2 week long bump on head!0
