I'm quite new to the site and have pocket duties mentioned in alot of posts.

I have my first rheumy appointment this afternoon and am incredibly nervous.

I know it's rather short notice but is anyone free at around 2pm?

xx

    Hi Kirsty,
Will be with you in your pocket for 2!
Remember to write everything down so that you don't come out of the appt wishing you'd mentioned something else!
    Good luck hugs x

Of course you will be nervous. have you anyone going with you? If you have questions to ask, make sure that you write them down and take them with you, nerves can do silly things to the memory! Will be with you. Dont forget to let us know how you get on - Good luck!

    Hi Kirsty
I'll have a quick bit of lunch and then jump in your pocket.Plenty of time to climb out and jump into Tony's for tomorrow.

    Will be there.
As Cath said, write down any questions you have (Bullet point style seem to be the favourite on here) no matter how insignificant or stupid they seem (after all it is your life were talking about here) and write down the answers you get if you need to, don't be afraid to as the rheumy to repeat himself, just make sure you get all the answers you want.

    Best of luck

    Hello Kirsty

I'll be there, I can bring biscuits as well?

The advice from the other posts is very good, you may also be having some blood tests.x-rays, so you may be there a while.

    See you later!

    Hi Kirsty,
Well I hope you are home by now and have settled down to a well earned cuppa.
With luck you have had some answers to your questions and it is just a matter of waiting for all the results to come together.
That first appointment is scary but hopefully you will be put on some medication and will start to feel a lot better soon.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Kirsty, Hope you got big pockets im a rather *ahem* well built person... I shall bring lewis cat to so if Ra wakes up he has someone to keep him company... Lewis also snores but he's so cute with it.

    Hope all goes well...
