Jillys diet update 2

Had to put an update on , I have now lost 5 Ibs , so pleased i know i have a long way to go but this is the only good thing health ways i have had for months ...................looking forward to monday when you join me it will be good doing it together . We will keep each other going .......jilly xx

    Well done , Jilly , I only weigh myself once a week as I find I start to become obsessed ! As it is , my brain is constantly focused on food and tends to rule my life but losing weight is very important to me , as it no doubt is to you too . We're with you all the way with this one , keep us posted . Jillyb

    Well done Jilly, I am definately going to be with you on Monday, but won't be doing the Atkins - I aim to loose 1-2lb a week - I think that way I may have a better chance of keeping it off. I know really that I need a sensible eating plan and that really it should be for life -- Love my food though
    Oh and my wine!

    Thanks for all your support , i know i am getting weighted to often but i need to get dieting to the front of my brain , when i have lost a couple of stone (fingers crossed ) i will go on a better eating plan . So i do know i am going a bit daft at the minute but god i need to get some of this weight off . I am struggling walking with my knee , i know how unhealthy i am which is adding to my depression . ...........looking forward to monday then i am not on my own ......................jilly x

    well done,

    im starting mine tomorrow also. i am doing the 1/3 diet. i have been out and bought a plate which is a bit smaller than my normal ones(inbetween a tea plate and a dinner plate) then i will reduce the amount on my plate by a third and see how i get on. i aim for 1or2lb a week , slow but sure.

    Hi Jilly

    Well done on weight loss...

    Can i ask a question? It may or may not be a myth but its the Atkins Diet youre on right? Someone told me it was effective but wasnt so sweet on the old breath due to high intake of meat etc?? Is that true?

    Hi Coco , great you are starting tomorrow good luck we will all have to keep each other going , I have looked at the 1/3 plate , it sounds a good idea they sell them on ebay, they cost quiet a bit dont they.
    You are quiet right about the 1 to 2 pounds a week , i just needed to get going to get me into it . My husband is really helping me at the moment but he only needs to lose a couple of stone.
    Well good luck keep us informed by the summer we could all be slimmer............jilly x

    Hi elaine , yes your breath can be a WIFFY not everyone suffers it but you can be sure i am using lots of mouth wash. It doesnt really matter to me at the moment i dont get out much and dont see many people.This horrible arther stopped me working 12 months ago ................jilly x

    Jilly - OooooH its not long now till tomorrow morning when I start my diet, I have spent the last week making sure that there are no "naughty" things left in the fridge and cupboard - there are no crisps, chocolate, biscuits. I have just eaten the last Cornetto! and by bed time the bottle of wine will be finished!

    Not sure I will succeed - but I'll give it a damn good try.
    I will post in the morning with the vitals and see how it goes.......I am thinking that I am going to need lots of support!

    Thanks Tony , It is really helping posting on here and getting lovely people giving me there support . I am going to keep posting so that it keeps me going i have at least 5 stone to go so it is a mighty big mountain i need to climb............jilly x

    hi jilly, yes the the 1/3 plates are expensive but what i have done is find a plate the same diamiter looked at the pictures of the plate on e-bay and worked out how much of the plate i can fill. cheeper and easily done.

    cath i will find it hard also but we will encourage each other and im sure between us we can keep each other going.

    Hi again Cath , Glad you are joining me tomorrow, I am still getting used to it myself i think the first 2 weeks are the hardest for me. You are right with the way you start it , you need to get your head right first , clear the house and get in some good diet food . We will stick together and by the summer we will be feeling great . Having someone to keep us going and to talk to about feeling hungry or down will make all the difference thanks again for joining me , speak again tomorrow ...................jilly x

    jilly idealy i need to loose 3 stone but will be happy if i reach 2 and then work from there.

    so i will make the most of this evening getting my head around it all. unfortunatly i have a rare night out next weekend but will try and not let it muck up things

    Hi coco that was clever had'nt thought about doing that . When i have lost a couple of stone i am going to change over to a more sensible diet but for now Atkins is doing the job. Last time i did it was 10 years ago before arther was so bad , i did it then to help my hip before i had the THR , I lost 4 stone and felt great , over the 10 years i have put it back on the worse the arther got the more weight i have put on , i cant walk much now and need the other knee replaced so i MUST get it off , together we will do it .......jilly x
