I have just eaten pie and chips and I have managed to break a fork!!
It was the type with the plastic handle that you hang on a rack.
OH has now told me that he isnt going to upset me because if I can do that to a solid plastic handled fork what can I do to him??!!!

I broke my coccyx (the little bone at the bottom of the spine.) It was my own fault because I was showing off trying to ice-skate like Jayne Torvill  ( this was in my pre-arthur years ) I did a fantasic twirl on the ice, and then landed flat on my bottom with a big bump  It happened just before Christmas, and I spent the whole time in agony that year. That was the end of my skating career :!:

Those WERE the days. Sob...wouldn't happen nowadays. But no time and energy for the male species now.
I'd love to know how your dad reacted to the broken cup and was it ever fixed. You must have been mortified!

I would have to say a toss between my coxic (tale bone at bottom of spine) and metatarsal bone (one beckham broke before euro or world cup can't remember!) coxic was just very sore and was hard to sit in chair and the metatarsal ment I was in plaster from foot to over knee! that one hasn't healed well and still swells after weight on it and heat & cold. A new lesson to be learnt everytime!! :roll:0

My daughter went on holiday with her dad and ended up in hospital the day after they came home.
She had been playing on a zip slide with her brother and sister while dad was no where in sight. She fell off the slide and cracked her bone. She told him it had happened and where but he was convinced it was a sprain. Anyway he drove from Cornwall back home which was about 5 hours over night and the following morning (17hours after it happened) I had a phone call saying that he was taking her to the hospital and did I want to go.
It turned out that she had a spiral fracture of her shin bone. For 10 weeks she was in plaster from her toes to her thigh, 3 weeks just above the knee and then 3 weeks below the knee. Finally she came out of plaster. 15 weeks later she was playing tag rugby at school - even though we had told them she wasnt allowed to and she slipped on a wet field. She broke the same leg 2 inches lower than the original break. Another 10 weeks in plaster. A week after she came out of that plaster she tripped over a mat at school and yes she broke her leg AND ankle. Another 6 weeks in plaster. 7 years on and we still havent had another break from her so I think touch wood everything is over. I cant cope if there is another break!!Jaki0 -
