Hi DD,
Hope the knees and ankle are a little less painful today? I know how much you loath this, I think you are very brave, take care and rest as much as possible hugs xxx'grá agus solas'

Isn't oromorph lovely stuff? I am so glad I keep it for emergencies, that way it still has an effect when taken in sensible amounts.
My knees are considerably smaller today, I cannot really see a difference in my ankle, she did withdraw 'substantial' amounts of synovial fluid (her words, I forgot to ask for details - having a stick clamped betweeen one's teeth like a labrador enjoying a good walk does make talking difficult) and I can feel the difference. The pain is quite different to the usual arthritis pain, my joints feel absolutely raw inside - no wonder, they have lost their lovely bouncy cushion of gunk. I have managed to have a shower, this is the necessary rest after, then I am back to bed. Behave yourselves today, please, I am well aware that I am not here to keep you all in line! I hope to call in again later today, I am missing all of you very, very much indeed. Thank you for your lovely words, each and every one of you. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -

Val, the flowers are beautiful, thank you! Janey? 'Pocket duty' is the term we use to describe how we support one another on the forum when someone has an appointment etc. - I was lying there yesterday knowing that julie47 and a few others were with me in spirit and believe you me, it helps! gickygawky? Thank you, I am feeling brighter than yesterday tho my joints are not comfortable - hell, they never are so what exactly am I expecting to happen? I have had to get out of bed as my neighbours have had to put a skip across the drive, meaning a) I had to move my car and b) I can't put it back on our drive for 'perhaps a week' they said. I am peeved. Said skip was supposed to go on the road but there was no room, too many cars parked up while their owners walk into town to work. Mr DD won't be happy about it but what can one do? In the interests of neighbourly relations I had to say yes - but I am hacked off about it. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi dd
just checking up on your progress.
Flippin eck dd a skip blocking your drive, that is all you needed. I can imagine the vocabulary especially as you are trying to rest.
Sorry the joints are not too comfortable but hopefully tomorrow will be much better. They are bound to be sore inside with all that prodding.
Hope you are still resting and watching some daytime telly...chocs and tea within easy reach.
Take care

DD, Glad to hear you are getting some relief, oral morphine is a wonderful substance and yes quite rightly in small amounts the stuff is very addictive
lol
Having the same problem here at the mo with parking the shopping street at the end of my road is being resurfaced so everyone is cramming their car into my street to park with no thought for those of us that have to get in and out during the day... some people are soo figgin selfish indeed.... but hey in the grand scheme of things there's nowt i can do except grin and bear it ...it's only fer a couple of weeks...
keep ya chin up petal
Gentle hugs
