    Hi
If you ask the chemist maybe they will be able to help, when I fell and hurt my wrist I used one of the hand and wrist supports it was very comfy
    Good luck

The doctor said ' you have a bit of arthritis' so not sure which of the 200 types I have but it sure hurts less when braced or taped

I have OA in my wrists and thumb. The wrist brace is best, but not all the time as it can weaken the muscles and drive you mad!!! :green I had mine 'fitted' at the occupational therapists. Its good if you can get a referral to them as their are all sorts and they will know best what you need. Your GP can refer you.
Hope this is helpful! Love Sue

having only recently had my wrist replaced with a new joint I can honestly say the neoprene wrist support the type with a metal flat type support inserted into the support saved my sanity when nothing stopped the pain, I brought it from a sports shop after my NHS one rubbed too much, it can be washed so able to keep it fresh, I still use it now if my wrist aches as it often does when I've over done it , highly recomended with out doubt, michelle

If your GP told you that then it sounds like OA to me. Only you can decide what suits you best, and you find that out by trying different things. Don't use a support all the time, tho, it makes your muscles lazy and your joints won't be as supported as they should be. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Hi Lots

    Good to meet you

I would have a chat to the pharmacist if you canafford to buy a support - I got a lovely one from them which really helped. Thing is youi ahve to pay for those. Otherwise you could ask the GP to refer you to physio/Occupational therapist they may also be able to help with you other query

    Love

I find Tiger Balm very soothing, a little on the expensive side but I personally find it worth it.
