Well first off, I am so sorry I haven't been about of late. My daughter who has special needs has been poorly with various infections so I have been busy looking after her.

But now she is back to pretty much full health (for now !!!) I can start to look after me again.

I had a couple of sessions of physio on the old hip - was OK but I wasn't impressed with the standard of the person doing it. Keeping up with the exercises at home. Still in lots of pain from time to time but nothing like when the weather was really cold.

However, been to the Dr today and it looks like i have arthritis in my thumb joint :-( Its swollen, strange shaped and very painful particularly in the morning and evening.

Big hugs to you all
Beckie X

Thanks for the welcome back :-) I have often thought of you all and wondered how you are all doing.

Yep my daughter is doing ok at the moment. It all started with her having an accident at school and tipping hot tea down her front burning her chest. The burns got infected, then on top of that she went down with severe ear infections in both ears which have taken 7 weeks and 6 lots of antibiotics to clear up. She has been fitting through all of this due to fevers etc. She did a whole week at school last week (first time in ages) and then was struck down with a D&V bug on Friday which is doing the rounds at school. She was still in quarantine yesterday but really excited to be back this morning. Its hardwork but bless her she is so happy and her laugh is infectious

I am OK - swimming has been helping the hips and back pain as have my TENs machine which I think is brilliant.

The new pain is in my thumb which is swollen and looking "odd". Its hurting alot at the moment. The Dr wants an xray of that now :-)

    Big hugs to you all
