Hello, I hope everyone is 'wellish' today!
I'm back from my visit to the doctors and she has arranged for me to have a full range of blood tests done and given me an appointment to see her and talk about them when the results come back. She's checking for diabetes, thyriod you name it, but apparantly at my age she likes people to be checked for things like diabetes, as we are all more likely to have problems as we age! She thinks it might well turn out to be a combination of stress and pain from the arthritis one aggrivating the other, especially as I've had a stressful time, which can set things off.
I can't complain about not being taken seriously, she listened and took her time. She said if it is something like diabetes then it should be treated straight away and I'd feel a lot better. With stress it may just go or need treatment, but not to start anything until we know. She said just sleep if I'm tired!!!
Today I feel a bit tired, but I always do when I go to the doctor! Also thinks its time to look at my arthritis bloods again! I can't complain she's so nice. So thats it for the moment. Thank you all, love Sue

    Hi Sue

Glad it went well and you are getting the full MOT by the sound of it. Nice to hear of a doctor who listens which sadly isn't always the case. Hope things do improve and that the fatigue eases for you.
    Take care, sleep well tonight

Hi, I had the blood test this morning and they took quite a bit of blood! I hope they can find out why I'm so tired but, I hope its not diabetes, which is one of the things they test for. One diabetic in the house is enough! Love Sue

    Hi Sue,
Can i borrow your doctor?
I hope you find having the bloods done useful and the tests can help you in some way.
Im finding at the moment that even though im physically exhausted by night time im unable to sleep! I drift off ok but after couple of hours thats me awake again. Tried going bed the other afternoon as i was so tired i was tearful but no sleep.
    Wishing you well

She wants to see if I have a thyroid problem or diabetes, before looking at anything else with my arthritis. Diabetes and things like that make you so tired too and messing about with changing painkillers or something won't help if its another illness.
We are lucky, I know and its one of the things that stops us moving very far! love Sue
