Not insured probably, there's a lot of em about these days, it's why our insurance is so bloody high, thing is they also don't have a licence a lot of the times so bounce of things a lot, you take your life in your hands these days, also it's not worth having anything half decent, I park out the way of people and they still hit my car people don't give two hoots that's why people park in disabled spaces and do other anti social things they don't give a s&^t about anyone else.0

Why are some people like that :?: Because they are thoughtless morons who don't care about anyone else. Sadly, the world is full of them  In cases like this, I always try to look on the positive side though. A car can be repaired far more easily than a human being, so I'm glad you weren't hurt, June.

Oh joon I am sorry but joanlawson is right, it is only car, it can be fixed (tho that will cost, obviously and unfortunately) and no-one was hurt. Just think if you had still been sitting in it -
Your husband may think he knows who did it but unless your paint shows on their car he will have a hard time proving it. I bet the police won't do a thing. They are not interested in this sort of crime, it's so hard to trace the miscreants and even if they do what punishment will they get? (rhetorical question, I know) DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Joans right and sadly I work with people like this, people are odd they abuse the services at work ie kitchen t room etc then moan about the mess and lack of kit if you try and point out it's them that are the problem they get angry and abussive, you would not believe the things that they do at work, these are people on way over the average wage yet they get up to all kinds of totally moronic stuff, anything that isn't bolted dow is taken even if it is their to help them in their work, loast week they actually nicked a really naff and cheap plastic loo seat and also they took the tow ball of the works transit so we can't tow stuff around on site it's not to be pushed now madness!, it's so crazy it makes my teeth hurt.
They sit about refusing to do jobs give me verble for being ill and the bosses seem to love them yet they hate me for getting OA. Sorry spleen seems to be infected right now!. :oops:0 -
Yes you are all totaly right in what you are saying. Went to the police station she filled in a small form had a look at the car that was about it really. Oh is in the kitchen watching for the vehicle which we think did the deed, but funny it has not been down yet, it's a mini-bus and it always drops some-one off. Got to get in touch with the insurance don't know if that means our premiums will go up, never had to claim before.

Unless you have 'protected no claims', then you will lose some of your no claims allowance. It's no claim, not no blame and you will have to pay any excess.
If you do find out who did it then report them to the police, as they have driven away from an accident without stopping or exchanging details. It will make it easier to claim your excess back from their insurance company (if any) or if you have to make any claim for damages. Photograph any damage to the other vehicle if you find it, to show what it looked like before they can clean it up too.
Insurance companies want facts, NOT 'I think it may have been XYZ'. Don't get into any confrontations or arguments with the other driver, there is then one loser and that is you. All you need is the make, model, registration number, also if possible the driver's name and the name of his/her insurance company, nothing more. You then put that information on your claim form.
Let your insurance company handle the claim and deal with any problems. Read your insurance policy and that should give you all the guidance needed to make a claim. If you are entitled to a courtesy car while yours is being repaired make sure that you get one, as the latest gimmick is not to let you have one unless you insist (depends on the policy and the company).Joseph0 -
I agree people are an odd lot, totally uncaring. We had an accident one dark night, someone had left a row of 12v car batteries across the road, I missed the white one, which I saw at the last moment and hit a black one, thousands of pounds worth of damage to car, police didn't want to know or take a report.
At least we weren't hurt and car was insured.
8) Its a grin, honest!0 -
Oh Joon
I hope you are ok now and got over it a bit
people can be soooo horrible - likely they think they got away with it, but that bus is conspicuous by it's absence!
You take care.
