Gosh, that's stirred a few memories. Mr DD liked Wham! (don't ask, thank God he never dressed like them - well, not to my knowledge), my mate Furry adores Duran Duran (still) and I was a Tears for Fears girl, with a bit of Spandau Ballet thrown in for good measure. I do have the rhythm stick on my MP3 'Je t'adore, Ich liebe dich, hit me! hit me! hit me!' DD

I saw t'pau in Telford in the 80's, they were rubbish live.

I did see Madonna as well and yes you've guessed it, a bit rubbish too.

Duran, Duran, Wham!, Spandau, were the ones for me

    Remember Frankie goes to Hollywood?

    Hi Rich

I agree with you about Ian Dury and the Blockheads- a uniquely talented singer.

I also liked Human League, a good Yorkshire band from Sheffield, so I'm biased. :P

Also Ah-ha. This video is still one of the best ever made in my opinion.

My favourites have to be Pet Shop Boys though. I'm a great fan of theirs and I've seen them in concert several times. Their concerts are always brilliant. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are as good now as they ever were in the 80s.

    Hi Joan

I watched them on the Gllastonbury coverage last year and thought they were excellent.....Would like to see them in concert but puts me off all the standing, getting pushed about and climbing endless flights of stairs...

For the eighties it would be Dexys midnight runners plus The Jam for 80-82.
