    Hi Jilly,

Don't let arthur ruin your day

I took sulpha many years ago and was on it a long time along with voltarol. I developed a rash which looked quite angry and was mainly on my arms as I remember. It didn't itch. I made an appointment to see the GP and they stopped all my meds immediately and never put me back on either sulpha or voltarol.

Perhaps you should ring a pharmacist tomorrow or speak to your GP on Monday.

    Hi Jilly
You poor thing, after such a lovely anniversary, I hope you can get it checked out, what about ringing NHS direct or the walk in center, hopefully it will all clear up very soon.
Let us know how you get on.

    Hi Jilly

Happy Anniversary for yesterday but sorry about the rash. Does sound as if it could be sulpha reaction and I wonder if it would be worth you talking to a pharmacist today if you can for advice and about whether it would be appropriate for you to stop taking the sulpha and perhaps take anti-histamines to try to calm it down until you can see the doc.

    Thinking of you.

Hi, I have been on sulpha for 6 weeks now. My rheumy nurse said if you were going to react to sulfa then it would be a rash and it would happen in the first month. You really need to speak to your rheumy asap.

Maybe go back down to 1 tablet to help ease it a bit till you get chance to speak to them.

I am flaring at the moment, I thought it was a reaction to the sulfa, but they have said no as I have no rash. Bloods show2 a flare, so am sticking with it. Am ok, no eal side effects aprt from the luminous pee

Hope you get some answers on Tues, maybe they will stop it and start something else!!
