Hi again,
I got a letter yesterday saying i havent been awarded ESA as my national insurance contributions arent enough. Ithought this would be the case as it was a few years ago when i had my back op. I was hoping that i might get help to become employable and to get another job im gutted that this wont happen now. Employers will take one look at me and im sure they wouldnt even consider me. Is there any help out there for me to get back to work? The jobs i have are just not doable for me any more. Far too physical and i dont even think doc would sign me back to do them.
So no ESA no DLA. I did get my blue badge though which has been great. My ex husband has won his tribunal case against CSA to pay me less maintenance. All in all were really skint and with no hope of doing much about it. What a mothers day!
Any suggestions at to what to do be great. Citizens advice dealing with DLA for me so that is a worry off my mind.
I hope you are all the best you can be this morning and not in too much pain.

    Oh Seamonkey,

Bloomin Athur, its just not fair, you Want to work but can't due to the pain, and financially you don't get any help. All I can say is hang in there, the meds you are on are helping with the pain I hope? If you can get that under control that's half the battle. CAB helping with DLA is a very good thing too, so think positively Seamonkey, this will be your year! Pain under control and able to get some financial support.
You have 4 children? mine light up my life and i hope you have lots of cuddles from them today on mothers day, Thinking of you, hugs x

    Hi Seamonkey,

I'm sorry, I have no advise for you. Just wanted to say I'm sorry for the situation you are in and I am sending plenty of hugs.

I really do hope that you can get something sorted out.

    Hi seamonkey
I am so sorry to hear this, its really does make you angry, the amount of people on here that have been turned down for ESA and DLA..you must put in an appeal has soon as
I do think this part of the course to batter people into submission, but dont let them do this, we are all behind you.
Wishing you well and good luck with everything

    Oh Seamonkey

This is diabolical  I think that you should also be seeing the CAB about the ESA, but maybe you should get on to the directgov site really and start looking if there is anything you could try? Is there anything you are interested in?

Obvioulsy not too physical...but they also have voluntary bit on tehri site and volunteering gives you references...

I'm sure that wasn't much help, but i will keep thinking

Love and hugs and happy mother's day anyway

    Hi SM,

I was under the impression that in some cases if you are not entitled to ESA due to insurance contributions i thought thay would pay but give you less money..
May be worth ringing them up and ask them where that leaves you as you have no money coming in, they may put you on jobseekers if they do they will help ypou get a job that suits your needs, and if you don't get a job then at least you are trying and will still get some money..
This is just what i think so to be sure i would def ring them up monday asking for an explanation and some advice..
Not fair when you have the stress of arthur nagging at you too..
Let me know how you get on..xx

    Hi seamonkey

Sorry to see this and it calls for one of these I think? ( I was trying to insert a little angry smilie here but it won't let me send it  )

Hope the CAB can help turn around the DLA decision for you which would at least me some small help. When, and if you are feeling better and thinking of work again, I think the disability bod at the job centre should still be able to help, but in the meantime hang in there and take care.

    Hi Seamonky,

Its shift this and so wrong but there is something else you can claim with limited NI contributions I think... I can't remember what it is called though.

I so hope you get some advice and get it sorted flower and also maybe not all employers will side line you? I so hope you can get some help though and leaving a ((( ))) Cris x

thank you all for your kind words of support and encouragement. I am hesitent to give up any prospect of returning to my work and so i have 3 jobs waiting for me to get better! I would have to be unemployed to get job seekers allowance. I will just need to try really hard to get on top of the pain and stiffness so i can at least start slowly back to work ASAP. Just i cant start back untill doc signs for it. Its horrible having your life in others hands. Utterly exasperating at times. I should never have agreed to her signing me off, i feel as though i will never get back now, not only that but it on my record that ive got problems and have had time off!
Hope you are all doing ok and all the mums out there had a good mothers day. I did kids were wonderfull, homemade cards and gifts which were great.
