Hi

Read today in paper that the mp Chris Grayling thinks that he can get half a million "sick spongers who can be forced to get a job"...Now i really take offence to the term "sick spongers", talk about tarring us all with the same brush....
This article claims figures of in burnley and aberdeen 32% found fit to work immediately, another 38% able to work with the right support??? while 30% were classed so sick or disbaled they could not work...He also talks about the suport group who can help people get back to work???
Hello CG what about the schooll leavers, the people made redundant who cannot get a job, never mind all the immigrants who come into the UK and take jobs some british citizens could apply for? Does he really think its that easy, just say get a job? any time ive been unemployed it takes about 3-6 months till you get decent interviews...And in our local paper where there used gto be 2 pages of jobs its now down to a quarter of a page....
What i object to is the terms such as sick spongers, workshy, feckless, wlefare cheats.....How dare he?
Also if CG is going to shake up the government hwy the heck doesnt he put in place a system other than ATOS who are totally incompetent, i mean i could do their job and do it better....You never see a qualified person for your needs its often just a nurse practitioner or a locum doctor......
He needs to come down off his little cloud with the flying pigs and bump down to reality....Typical mp....

    Hi Elaine,
Totally agree with you , I feel abused by the constant comments by MPs , the press but mostly the Government , who wants to live on benefits ???? we would all like to be well enough TO work but we aren't , illness and accident can and does happen , if they would only makes the system fair maybe things would be better , but this system is cruel and un just . I know worrying about my benefits IS having a bad effect on my arthritis , We must fight back for our sake AND everyone else that does and will suffer this damm condition. phew !!!!

Hi ~ your comment about how that man said about support to get back into work made me mad ~ I was suppose to go to Pathways to get support and guess what ~ the govenment shut them down ~ all offices in cornwall and devon have been shut.

when i asked about support i was told that i now have to wait untill july when the government are 'putting another support office' in place ~ yea right

they do live on another planet ~ the idiots planet.

Planet Privilege, where all problems in life can be ameliorated or solved by the liberal application of hard cash, a planet most of us will never even visit, never mind live there.

Yeah the problem with the government is that they should have been tackkling the unemployment situation ages ago and they didnt...Now they want everyone working never mind that there aint enough jobs about!!! And if i deserve to be called a name fair enough but i aint any of the descriptors CG used...

    Hi Louise

Well yes it just shows how arrogant he is, he doesnt know the first thing about being long term sick or unemployed...Probably had a silver spoon in his gob all his life!!! And the support...Ahem, there isnt any suport...Its very lax...And then like youve found out they take the support away but its your fault its not there!!!

    Grrr...
