Plant pictures at Kew

Hi
I love to draw and paint pictures of plants and flowers, so I found this slideshow of the work of Marianne North very interesting. She lived in Victorian times, and she had a passion for painting the flora of the world. 833 of her paintings, and the building which houses them, have been restored and are on show at Kew Gardens.

You can see some of her work on this slideshow. I think it is wonderful.

    Thank you Joan for the super pictures i have seen them before,love the Morning glory flowers. Do they do prints do you know? PatW

    Hi Pat

    I hadn't seen them before, but I would love to see them in reality. I don't know whether prints are available, but I would imagine so.

    I like that idea, Val :grin: You could have beds of Old Masters and Impressionists. The Cubist trees might look a bit odd though :lol:
