May I butt in here Donna?

(From what I understand Crohns is a bowell problem and cellulitis is to do with inflammation on the lower leg [please correct me anyone if I'm wrong].) Aside from that what I want to say is don't worry about side effects and symptoms of other illnesses because you might not get any. Enjoy your RA free time and being with your girls and family, no one knows what could happen in the future therefore it's today which counts.

You make hay while the sunshines and don't waste your time worrying about what might or may not happen.

It is a lovely day here again and I'm off to do a bit of soaking up my Vit D.

    Enjoy.

    Hi Donna,

Just saying you will know if you git crohn's. Its Inflammatory Bowel Disease and that covers both Crohn's and Colitis. I am fairly sure it doesn't cause IBD but if you have it lurking it might bring it into the foreground.

I promise you you would know as its not a quiet thing when it flares up.

Please as Legs says don't worry about other things and just enjoy the relief you have got there flower. Cris x

    Hi Susan,

I just have to say i think you were unfortunate and its not necessarily to do with the drugs. It may have brought out your symptoms but its unlikely to have caused it as I understand IBD.

I might ask NACC about that one cus its an autoimmune disease so in theory not going to be caused by a drug as such but the drugs might irritate an existing condition and bring it to then fore.

Its unfortunate that if you have one autoimmune thing you may have others though its by no means a certainty.

I hope your ok at the mo and both the crohn's and the bones are being kind? Cris x

    Thanks Lindalegs and Cris,
Yep in this old game we just have to take it day by day, no point sittin around worryin bout what may happen down the line. This weather is absolutely brilliant. Just had a lovely wee day out with hubby and kids at the seaside and was able to walk and play with kids more than ever. May just enjoy this while it lasts.
Hope everyone is well and able to enjoy this weather too as it may not be around for too long!!
    Keep well all, Donna x

    Hi KMR,
When i went for my appointment two months ago i sat down the night before and made a list of any questions i could think of and i could still ask more now. I think its just a matter of giving these new meds a try as everyone will respond differently and therefore no doctor or nurse could tell you what will happen in your own individual case. It is a big thing to think about but in the end you just have to try for yourself. How is your daughter feeling about starting Enbrel?
All the best and keep us posted on the outcome,

she is quite worried, not really sure what to do, she has been worse since swapping from mtx tablet to injections. she was stood with her hands in the sink this morning (warm water) as they hurt that much. really dont know what to say about it, other that my head could explode
just keep reading through the website i found and will try and put some questions down on paper.
    thank you

I really feel for her. I used to do the same during a flare up.Some people find relief from cold but i always got relief from heat. I would sit with a hot water bottle on my joints just to ease the pain. I really feel the Enbrel is well worth a try when she is experiencing this pain. It's obvious the arthritis is attacking and doing damage in her joints and this needs to be stopped asap when she is so young. The only way that doctors know of stopping it is through these biological meds. I'm sure it is so hard for you to watch her in so much pain and i feel for you both at this difficult time.
    I wish you both well,
    Donna xx
