Check online that your friend has a signal ...some areas are only covered by some networks or you could make an expensive mistake. DONOT take the network shop to their word as several friends have bought phones from H2O!!!! and they said they would work in our area according to their map...and no they didn't. I got one but the signal is pants...but i knew that before hand....have to run up and down outside the caravan or go to the main site to use. Going to do a little more research myself...I bought one for £20.00 which had a massive download which i did not use but only lasted about 30 days i think. Going to look into a pay as you go this time..
Good luck. Also i did have problems when i came back...had to remove dongle information from laptop before i could use my home internet. It maybe just because i did not understand what i was doing.0 -
my lappy is set up for use with a dongle and the one at home and that was with 3g, son had this lappy first and carried it world wide, said the 3 dongle was one of the better ones.0

Thankyou everyone, I would like to go pay as you go, not monthly,
I have just looked on line & like you say coco 3 is voted the best, but I always thought they didnt have a very good signal, I dont know if they have changed now,
thank you everyone take care Sue x0 -
Never a nerd around when you really need one!
Nothing hard and fast on coverage for dongles. Have a look here for coverage, http://www.internetdongle.com/coverage/ but the only real way is to test one where it will be used. Simply moving or turning the laptop will alter the signal strength anyway. Try begging one from freinds/neighbours and test it in place.Joseph0 -
