When the students were marching against tuition fees, Nick was the number one figure of hatred, rightly or wrong. Anyway, I thought this nice chap couldn't be that bad,...could he. Who comes on one of those party political broadcast, thingymibobs, the other night Nick Clegg. He spent 5 minutes trying to convince the viewer how honnest, sincere, and generaly trustworthy he was.
And then I realised ( after almost throwing up ), I hate him as well, no wonder his 6 year old son asked " daddy why does everyone hate you ", the kid will live and learn soon enough. Alanthemanc

Hate and dislike are words that come to hand but do not describe politicians, just what you feel. Just accept that they are politicians and want to rule the world.

Someone has just sent me a funny by email, it's a picture of a wooden 2 story outside toilet, the top door is labelled 'Politicians' and the door underneath is labelled 'Voters'.

    8) Its a grin, honest!

I get the feeling Clegg has bitten the bullet and made a pact with the other team as he honestly thinks he has no other choice why else would he bother doing what he has done, he's rich very bright speaks 9 different launguages very well, if he wanted to he could go anywhere and earn more doing less.
Nope I don't dislike him I don't know him but in a way I admire the way he's fallen on his sword and taken a big gamble.
As for tuition fees the whole system needs a kick up the ****, there are so many kids are going to university taking pointless useless courses this was bound to happen, somones got to pay for it in the end, it's seen as a good way to bum around for 3 years on the piss while the state picks up the tab times are hard, that said there would be more money about if we stopped giving loans to none UK citizens 70% of them don't pay them back so this digs into the money available to UK students hence up go fees.
The same goes for our health system, we allow half the world to use it then wonder why there needs to be cuts, this country should think of it's own peoples needs just for a change but ironically the very people who complain about the lack of money also champion the cause for the rights of others to come here and use our systems while they/we end up paying through cuts yet can't or don't want to see the two are linked.
The midwife system is still under massive strain due to shear numbers of none British mums using it, each brith costs the NHS £15K everywhere else in the world charges but we don't,maybe that's why 85% of kids born here are not to mothers who were born here, do the maths it's not rocket science now is it.
Nick Clegg maybe a numpty but at least he's better than Ed Balls, Jesus he has the gaul to complain about the cost of repairing the economic damage when it was him and his lot that thrashed metaphorical ecomoic car down the road and then stuffed it into a ditch of depression, he should stop moaning and apologies for not doing something while he had a chance.

We should not hate the guy that comes along and has to fix the country, just the guy that broke it, or two of them Blair and Brown! and all their coterie, Ball, Miliband X 2, Cooper, 'Lord' I'll never take a peerage Prescott, I could go on and on and on.......

Is anyone seriously gonna complain about the Coalition and let Labour have the keys to the keys to the Treasury again??????????

    Hi

I basically think he's a two faced person who would twist himself inside out to accomodate Cameron and all his other privately educated buddies/luvies....I liked him in the run up to the election but when the coalition was formed and i will admit i didnt know what that would be like exactly everything he said has just been forgotten about...I dont know how he can stand up some of the time and face people he had previously pledged to help, campaign for before....

(Oh and isnt this a forum where we can express things freely within reason?)....Could have sworn it was, silly me!!

Perhaps we should concentrate more on what these people do for the country rather than whether we like or dislike them?

You do not have to 'like' a a politician.

I agree, you do not have to like politicans but you have to be able to trust them.

So, name me one politician that you would totally trust over say, the last fifty years?

Whether we like it or not these people are around, we have to find one that represents what we agree with at the time, not on everything. As soon as we appoint them THEY CHANGE, they are dishonest, yes, thats how they are. No use feeling anger when we know thats the way they are when we agree to appoint them!

If you have the power to give them power, why complain, when you know they will do what they want?

We complain because above all else David Cameron PROMISED to protect the vulnerable, disabled and the aged.

He is making cuts to councils so the councils are the ones being blamed for cutting essential services to the very people he promised to protect.

According to my MP's secretary money the councils get for the essential services is not being ring-fenced so they are spending money on other things rather than essentials. The money for vulnerable people should have been ring fenced for that purpose alone.

We all know that no politican can be trusted, we have to make descisons
on who we think are the least dishonest, unfortunately we are all human and make mistakes when we vote them in.
