If your CRP figures were playing up JUne then this almost confirms a falre maybe
Lass you gotta rest and get as comfy as you can take your anti-inflams and your pain releif as prescribed and try ice/heat.
I am so sorry and of cours no harm in letting your GP know just incase it's NOT the arthur eh?
Love and sympathy

Hi, sometimes pain in the shoulder is actually coming from the neck. I get both and know how uncomfortable it is. Try to support the shoulder by leaning on a pillow etc. Heat or gels can provide relief. Maybe worth getting gp to check it out if this is new for you.
Hope it subsides soon.0 -
hi thanx for the replies ihae been resting most of the day in and out of sleep. rheumy stopped my hydroxy 2 weeks ago makes me wonder if it was doing its job. i am still in pain its not just the shoulder but my upper arm also the rightside of my chest. toni you said about antiinflammatories gonna sound stupid now but i don't think i have ever been prescribed any i take pred and mtx .

Hi june
So sorry you were up early looking at the time of your posting, with terrible shoulder pain.
It doesn't sound as if it has got any better during your day either.
I would nip to the gp tomorrow if no better, he may then either put you back on hydroxy or prescribe something else.
I hope you sleep better tonight....
light hugs((((()))))))) and a hot milky drink to relax you.

l dso hope you are feeling a wee bit better??!!!
Now have you ever tried anything as simple as ibuprofen it's an anti-inflam you can get from the chemist....maybe they are the ones to ask as you can get them in gel form too (that makes sure they don't affect your belly...they do mine!!)and they will tell you whether you can take them on your current regime.
Maybe that theer hydroxy was doing more than you realised :???:

Spoke to the rheumy nurse today she also spoke to the doc on my behalf outcome being stay on 5mg pred for another 2 weeks if I still don't feel much better next week to ring back up and they will bring my appointment forward. Not feeling as bad as I was slept alot better last night, still in a bit of pain but then that's nothing new.
