Hi DD
It is reassuring to know that today has been a little better for you. Going in the right direction anyways. Thinking of you, the forum is not the same without you.

Hi DD, sorry you are continuing suffer so much. I know you are dedicating this year to getting off the pred but sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forwards again. If you cannot get this flare to die down then why not increase again by 0.5 to the dose where you were last successful and decrease again after the flare has burnt out ...
Keep on sleeping and hope you feel more yourself in time for next weeks extended weekend.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -
Hello everyone, once again thank you for your thoughts and kind wishes. Things are not going well (apart for my arthritis, it's a very happy bunny) and there is little sign of this flare abating. Never mind, it will pass in time, all things do. I have resisted the temptation to up the pred and will continue to do so - there is nothing quite like the masochistic satisfaction one gets from deliberately making life worse for oneself, it is highly satisfying in some respects but now I suspect it won't last - my mother will be rocking up tomorrow for her Easter pilgrimmage. This will provide a severe test of my resolve as a double flight of steep stairs is on the agenda for the next eleven days. Great. Bring it on. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thank you hileena, daylily, Barbara and Poppy. There has been no improvement which is a shame but it will - eventually - pass, all things do. It's only the second week, I shouldn't be too impatient. I hope your chest infection has eased a little, Poppy oh and Barbara? I hope your results have led to a treatment plan of some description, or at the very least given you some answers. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
