It's a bit odd

I've realised that it is now 14 years since I had my hips replaced. I was 14 when I had them done so I've now had my fake hips as long as I had my real ones! It's kinda weird.

My left hip is a bit dodgy now so my surgeon is keeping an eye on it but my right one seems fine. I've only had my new knees 4 years now so they are quite young.

What's the longest other people's replacement joints have lasted?

Sparkle, I've had my right hand knuckle joints 9 years (thought they only lasted 7) ........ wont tell you the age of the left hand knuckle joints .. but they are 'as old as my tongue, but a little older than my teeth' (haven't used that expression since goodness knows when).
