Hey all.....

I've been trying to get more regular exercise to try and keep the arthritis at bay & was going to get a dog so I'd have no excuses about going for regular walks.....unfortunately the wife had other ideas......

....so....we now have Peppa instead! Giving her cuddles is kinda like a painkiller all of it's own......

    Hope your having a reasonable day?Cris x

Very disappointed with 'the pounder'! Sounded so exciting!

    ;-)

As for pussycat, I think it's just a plain ol' tabby......she's gorgeous though!

I've been having a good few days........who knows, that sulpha has started to work maybe......I'm cautious with my optimism though!

    Hope you're okay today too......

She is beautiful. My kids want a cat, it even has a name chosen Bella, but I just worry as lots of aggro and very expensive vet bills involved.

She looks like a silver tabby to me the very cat I would choose.

Ahhhh yes, the vet bills! I'm taking her for her 1st injections on Friday after I come back from getting my 1st post DMARDS blood test! I'm hoping we'll both come out of it okay!

oh Keith, she is lovely, love pus cats, we have three and they allow us to share their home with them, not that they are pampered at all. They know how you are feeling and will offer great cuddles. g010.gif

Sure your little Peppa will stay a loving cutie though.

Oh wot a sweetie Peppa is! Never mind a dog - from my experience of kittens I reckon you will get more exercise trying to extricate little Peppa from the top of the curtains, out of the bath, off the roof, out of trees etc!

And Toni- how lovely to see a piccy of Daisycat!

Love Tilly (who misses her two cats dreadfully and is regularly sorely tempted to adopt some more)xxx

Hello little puss person, she's a darling. Prrrreeep!

Kitty hugs are the best. I live alone and my girls are my constant companions, such a cheer up on a bad day.

    gorgeous
I am very envious, whenever i'm at my dads his cat sits on my knees like a wonderful hot water bottle

We can't get a cat/dog/furry pet of any kind because my husband is severely allergic , i've had to try and explain this to our son on several occasions as he idolises next doors dogs

My Furry Purrmachine is sitting next to me right now. I sometimes get Z to lie on my sore feet or hands. B won't tolerate it.

I wonder if you could train Peppa to sit on your sore bits, Keith. Maybe spread a bit of fishpaste on them, that'll get her interested...

    Ha!

    Hi Keith,

I agree with Elizabeth... she does look like a silver tabby and that's the one colour I have never had ( I have a few cats) I nearly got one... but he has hint of brown in his tail.

Keith I am trashed just now

I really do hope your drug combination helps and the one thing I really believe we do need it hope.... and never look to far ahead...

now I got to scat some posts in so could you get hold of one side of the pounder

Hope today is good and how do you do these pics? Cris x

What lovely cats you all have,

    Thankyou for sharing the photos.

Toni it was nice to see daisy cat as on the forum i have seen her name a few times in the past.

Trouble is I have trouble with remembering peoples names and now I will have to remember pets too

Hope you all have a good day.

    Hi Keith,

I'm sure your new little friend will make you laugh more - that's more exercise in it's self!

We've recently acquired a Jack Russell and believe me he's had my husband and myself in stitches. (Pets are definitely good therapy!)

Donnas, I'm sure my wife would be delighted if I crawled into bed stinking of fish paste!

I think my little kitty is a bit of a mix as it's mummy was definitely silver but daddy was more black & brown.

Looks like I started a good thread here, good to hear that pets provide some light relief for people, Lord knows we all need it eh?!

Cris, yep I'm hoping that whatever I'm doing right now works.....I'm definitely doing better than a couple of weeks ago & the pain isn't as intense. Regarding the pics, it's easy! You just need to use a pic hosting site like Tinypic.com, upload your pic & they provide you with a html code which you then cut & paste into this little window. You're restricted to 200x200 size in this forum though.

Oh Peppa is a sweetie! I have my Beauty (or his nickname we always call him and he comes to 'bubba/bubbadog'!) he gets called bubbadog because he sometimes thinks he is a dog! jumping on settee when postie walks down drive!! Beauty/bubba is a cross eyptian/siamese. Some think I have learned from having cats since I was born is that they know when you are in pain. He will always lie next to me on settee, bed or on the floor.
I will try and show you a picture of him still learning to do things on here!!
Keith you made (or your OH ) the right choice getting a cat, bubba is part of our family now! We even call ourselves mom & dad!! I bet you will soon as well!!

    Hi Keith,

Congrats on your new friend. Still think you should have got a Parrot

As regards exercise and don't laugh but I bought a Wii Fit Plus a couple of months ago and it sure does work. Not as intense ( or costly ) as gym work but I find it works and if one is'nt feeling up to it ( depending on how arthur is ) you just do gentle exercise with it and crank it up when you're more in the mood.

Steps and Jogging get the cardio stuff going; boxing and canoeing help the upper arms etc; and then there's the muscle and abs exercises for the torso. It's all interactive which adds a bit of fun to it.

The games can be fun which I usually play with my grandson but I concentrate on the exercises. The Wii Fit board and hand remotes uses AA batteries but I'll invest in some (Eneloop ) rechargeables. Not cheap but there the best on the market.

As I said, don't laugh but worth a thought :?:

    Cheers John

    Hey John......

The pet shop were I buy kitty litter from has a parrot, the damn thing never shuts up!

The Wii Fit is a good idea.....and one I did consider.....but my 3yr old son smashed the screen of our last 42" plasma tv with one of his wooden blocks last year & I can see the Wii control flying out of his hand & doing the same thing again!

Oh dear, the remotes now only come with rubber jackets and adjustable wrist loops to stop such accidents happening.

Oh his is a lovely thread; I lost my cat last month so it is nice to see so many furry friends about.
She was a torte and I miss her they make such wonderful hot water bottles and it is so relaxing just stroking their fur, when permitted of course.

    Hi Keith,

Well we have to be different in my family. We have a live in guinea pig called Patch, and I do feel more relaxed when I give him a good stroke.
They are very affectionate things themselves.

My cat Miss Z (pretty black and white girl) always joins me when I lie down, and likes to sit beside me most of the time. She's right beside me right now washing her face. B is behind the computer monitor and sometimes peers over the top to get my attention like this 4756845613_e5ae6e0d18_t.jpg. Ha!

Hopefully you won't need the fishpaste, Keith.
