Hi

I posted on here last year about a rash & dirty brown marks on my face.Well its back & getting worse  it looks like I haven't been washed.I am putting it down to the sun but I was not in the sun a lot last weekend.

Atm I am using a well known product that bleaches the skin which is expensive but doesnt seem to be doing much.Is there anyone else who has this on there face & if so what do you use that helps you to get rid of it?I hope this makes sense I just cant think straight today.

thanks
tjc

    Hi TJC,

Nice to see you again but sorry you have this one again. I do something like that and its definitely the sun that does mine.

Cus I spend so much time in the full force of it I don't get it till I have got quite a lot of tan but the mtx might make it happen quicker now. So in my case, does age now as well

Never tried the bleaching thing though. Does it work cus my neck is the worst place though its already discoloured.... they come up with all kinds of reasons for that one but the sun certainly makes it more obvious in one way but less as I go browner if that makes sense?

It might be best to just get it checked out cus they tell me with mine to keep it covered and out the sun if I can.

Really is nice to bump into you again and hope apart from this your ok? Cris x

    Hi Cris
I think I will just stick to the factor 30 sun cream for now & see what my rummy has to say.

    Thanks

    Hi there

I do remember your previous thread some time ago. It does seem like it is the sun that does not like you at the moment. It was especially hot at the weekend. I sat out for a while and later noticed that the sun had gone though my black leggings and my legs were red. As you say, use the high factor sun cream and wear a hat or cap to keep the sun off your face and have a chat with your rheumy about it.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

Have you spoken to your doc about a skin cream? I cant remember the name but my friend has vitiligo (which is sort of like the opposite - where he does tan, there are white patches which dont tan), and he uses this cream which sort of fades the tan so it doesn't make the white patches stick out so much.
