    Hi Mariam,

Welcome to the forum but sorry to see your are another person having trouble with DLA.

I don't know what their criteria is to be honest. They seem to have their own things running but I know somewhere someone told me the bin quite a few without even reading them.

that's unfair but they have been told to cut back and get people off it now I think?

I don't know if you had the letters from gp's and consultants and help with it at all? You need the help and someone when to tribunal, I think?

I really hope someone who understands it a lot better than I do comes along but I just wanted to say hi and nice to meet you. Cris x

No don't feel like a liar. It may be that you have given the impression you can get about and do things (because you have to) even though in lots of pain. You just have to keep fighting because you know you should be entitled to it. Have any reports on your hip been submitted from your rheumatologist?
Is anyone helping with your claim and appeal? You have the disability people on your side so they will fight on your behalf.
    Good luck and keep trying.

    Hi Mariam
Very sorry that you have had three refusals, have they been separate claims, or have you asked them to look at your case again?

Assuming that you have the support of your GP and Consultant, who will write letters to the DLA, in support of your claim? As much information as you can give them, if you cannot prepare a meal from scratch, not a ready meal that you pop into the oven or microwave, are you at risk of falls, do you need supervision frequently and regularly throughout the day and or night?
The DLA are making huge cuts, but, for those of us who need extra help and support, then it is one of my bug bears, that we are made to jump through hoops.
An letters, keep copies and send copies to your GP, they are often in the dark as to a person't daily life and needs. As awards are made on a needs basis, it is impotant that you spell it out to them.
I am sure there will be a local CAB office or welfare rights officer, carers link, who can help with the forms and will also help with any appeals.
Don't be defeated, let's hope it works for you in the long run and it can be a long run at times.
    Take lots of care

Hello, I'm so sorry that you have lost your appeal. I don't know what to suggest now, your MP or talking it over with CAB or the Helpline here. It's a crazy system and claiming eSA nearly sent me into a nervous breakdown, seriously. I felt too ill to go for the appeal, but luckily I won it. I couldn't believe it.
I hope that someone who knows the system or has been in your place, can help you now. Lots of love Suexxx((()))

So sorry you have to go through this its such a stressful thing and they don't make it any easier.

My advice keep trying see if you can get some help of your local welfare rights service..... you may have to be referred to it.

My experience of people I know with OA and trying to claim DLA is its alot harder to get but doable so don't be discouraged.

    ((((((hugs)))))))
