Blood Monitoring and the Practice Nurse = SUCCESS!

Hey all.

When I went to the Practice nurse today to get my blood monitoring started for MTX, I started asking her some questions about supplements and interactions. She was horrified that I hadn't seen a rheumatology nurse, and said she would sort it out for me. Yay!

I LOVE my practice nurse, she's a star and has helped me out with loads of things in the past, from asthma attacks to counselling. I'm so glad I mentioned my questions to her, I feel like I soon may have a friendly way into the clinic without having to page the doctors on call.

I'm sure she'll retire soon and I'll miss her, she's an NHS Diamond who regularly goes above and beyond the call of duty, and won the Unsung Hero award a few years ago. She deserves it.

Thank you, Marie!

Despite my foot screaming blue murder at me for walking home (very slowly), I have been in a much better mood today. I think just knowing that I'm getting the help I need is making me feel better.
