Hi, when I was awarded DLA last April, my entitlement letter stated it was for an indefinite period, due to the degenerative nature of my condition, however I received a letter of entitlement this morning with the new rates on from April, but it says the award is from 18/12/2009 to 17/12/2011, is this anything to worry about, I am assuming I wlll not suddenly wake up cured on the 18th December, but dont understand what this means, so if anyone could enlighten me that would be very helpful.

Hi Seebazz,
Sorry, don't think you'll wake up cured in December but I do think you'll probably received some more forms to fill in round about November to see whether your condition has changed.Love, Legs x

hi seebazz, nice to meet you. I think they are trying to simplify the forms, wether that is in the foreseable future, I don't know. They do remain quite protracted, to say the least and you have to repeat yourself umpteen times. Mine is due to expire next February and time and illness will progress forward. I guess that we will all have to get our pens out and start scribing away. Take care, Bubbles XXXX Aidan (still known as Bubbles).0

HI Seabazz
they been sneaky and called the awards 'indefinite'.....the old 'lifetime' awards are now a thing of the past l think.
You will get new forms and yes they ARE like the old forms despite them supposed to be making them easier to use!!! l am hoping you took a copy of the last ones??
Love
