Hey Suzy
Hopefully you are back from your appt now and all went well. Have been thinking of you.
Lots love Tilly xxx0 -
Thanks all, you are so kind and lovely!!
I have been referred back to the consulatant, due to the blotchy purple rash on my legs.
They are testing my thyroid as they think that is playing up. My bp is sky high and they sent me straight to gps who aren't bothered, time to act I feel, as this has been ongoing for afew months, and I already have heart probs.
Been referred to physio etc, as I need hydrotherapy and she thinks my fascis (sp?) are inflamed and I am too young to be suffering from contractures. ( tell me about it lol)
Apparently sulfa increases sun sensivity and since I already have this, IO need to take care and that is causing the rashes. The hair loss, they feel is due to my thyroid,so am awaiting results.
A good appt, I feel and am awaiting the bloods. Thank you all for your support, am exhausted tonight, so probably forgot loads!!0 -
Hello Suzy
I am so pleased that you had a good appointment and that hopefully you will be able to get to the bottom of some of the problems. Not good about the GPs response to the BP though and I hope you can get them to tackle the BP issue sooner rather than later.
Thinking of you.

Hello suzygirl, so pleased you had a good appointment and are on the way to getting some help - I hope the future is not quite so scary as it was, and with the right help, med's sorted out and you being more relaxed - the future will be something to look forward to.
Maybe you could plan one or two outings, a pretty umbrella makes a good sunshade, I have a big black man's one for the garden, and a rather sweet pale blue with grey kittens on - which folds up ever so small and fits in a bag for if I am out and about. Long sleeves and a straw sunhat, light weight trousers - well that's me ready for the off 8) - you coming :!:
Hope you soon feeling happier suzy

Thanks guys, I am feeling brighter thank you. No other reason than having shared how I feel and found I am not alone.
Fudge, I have a HUGE umbrella in our garden, and I have just bought 2 really comfortable garden chairs to sit out in, with my hubby. If he isn't there I put my feet on the other one!!
Even though I am extremely photosensitive, the feeling of being outside in the sun, still uplifts me. I sit out with a book for a short while, usually late afternoon, when the sun is not so strong.
Tilly, I will be chasing my bp with the gp. Going to check it at home, I think to check it isn't white coat syndrome!
Had some friends round last night and had a laugh, just a last minute, casual affair. It was nice, I enjoyed it.
Off to watch my son play footie in a while. The season has ended but now, its friendly game time!!! It never ends. Good exercise and he loves it, though.
Hope you all have a good day.

Hi suzy
sorry I missed pocket duty on friday but I am pleased to read that the appointment went reasonably well and that they are investigating.
Just to say.....I have a blood pressure monitor, bought it frrom llo**ds chemist and my blood pressure was never the same as at docs, always higher and hubby.....well his was always very low. Still.....mine was only cheap and yours may be mor accurate.
Lovely that you had friends round and that you had a good time. Socializing although can be tiring does help doesn't it?
Have a great time watching your son.....hope his team wins.
Take care

Hello suzy, you sound - so much better, hope this can keep up, a good laugh works wonders, new chairs for the garden - now which one is your kitten going to claim as hers :?: his It is good to be out in the fresh air.
Hope the football is a good game - not to hard on the bp :!:
Take care

Glad things sound a bit better for you, Suzy.
Hope the footie was good and (remembering those days) you didn't end up running the line.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hello Suzy!
As the others have said you DO sound so much brighter and it is lovely to hear that. Re the bp - I do think it's a good idea to check it at home if you can. I know the home monitors have a reputation for not always being very accurate but it will give some indication. Know what you mean about white coat hypertension. I've lost count of the number of times the hospital have voiced concern about my bp when, in fact, it's not too bad when I do it at home.
So pleased you have found a way of being able to sit out in the garden. Like you I love sitting outside with my book. My idea of heaven
Thinking of you.

Thanks everyone, it is so nice to log on and find others have thought of you. It is much appreciated.
Stickywicket, you made laugh about running the line!!! I can barely remember the score!! It all gets very serious, now he is older. Both teams supporters have to stand on the same side, due to the respect barriers. This seems to cause problems, nearly every game this season, there has been some commotion. Even the refs and the linesmen!!! Its ridiculous!! He enjoys it and that is the main thing.
Tilly, I love reading, and it is nice to enjoy the garden. My plants have flowered beautifully this year, which I am pleased with. Garden still needs lots of work though!
Collywobble, I do feel things are getting sorted, which does make you feel more positive. I wish I was just 'pale and interesting'. Unfortunately the sun brings me out in a bright red rash, so attractive, even with factor 50. I'm the one in the hat and sunglasses!!
Fudge, my kitten follows me outside, the chairs have aluminuim legs and she can't grip them, its funny watching her try. She does try to jump on to them, but isn't quite tall enough yet. She brings me so much pleasure and is a fantastic companion, just content to be by your side. Although she gets so playful with my boys, and if anyone takes cheese out of the fridge, watch your fingers!!!!
Julie, it is tiring socialising, but it does us good sometimes to make the effort!!0 -
Hi Suzygirl,
Glad to see you are feeling so much better in yourself. I hope you get the test results back quickly. I too take my own BP as I have white coat syndrome and I take a record with me to prove I am well within normal levels. I must admit I am getting better at the surgery now that they have the new sleeve type monitor available...I actually win on that one!!!
