Hiya
Well ive been for me free trial today. I went up in the lift and had one to one throughout the session.
Started off on machine that used my arms to hand cycle for 3 mins forwrd then 3 backwards, then a few leg stretches (which could do rather limited), then with back to machine, very light weights and lifting up to elbows, another one whcih had to pull weights from my chest, did rowing sort of one but not with feet in holes, just pulled with arms and had go on cross trainer which is very light and its all about getting the momentum going...I had to decline squats a machine which had to try and sit back at a heck of a level and another which wanted to fully bend knees and pull weights...
All in all quite good, my bp was 133/81 which is good and i was able to do 75% of tasks set out...So have booked in again for tuesday but will need one to one definitely and can do some sort of exercise...And everyone wasnt looking at me, they are interested in their own stuff....Also met old schoolteacher who works there part time..
If i can do it with my leg maybe others can, might give some hopes..

Good for you Elaine
Your confidence must be on it way up now, you will be sore, so have a nice hot bath and plenty of vit c to help the muscle recovery.
Just imagine all the calories you have burned.

hi Elaine, i am pleased you are getting some exercise.......i ahev been gymming it for close to 8 weeks now thanks to Humira.
i ran a mile in 11.59 today and was thoroughly knackered. My 1st time on the running machine i only managed 14.33, but i am getting faster with each training session. It is infuriating because i was running a mile in 4.20 before the arthur took hold when i was 23 (some 10 years ago)........so, it is my plan to get to 11 mins flat, 1 week from now and under 10 mins 1 week later. If i can manage this, i am going to try and get to 8 mins ish within a month.
i know i am setting myself a tough set of goals, but why the hell not
keep up the good work Elaine and keep us posted on your progress.
