Kneegirl, I have a wicked sense of humour and you have no idea how tempted I am to write 'Certainly not! How dare you!' but I won't. Oh, I just did. Ah well.

I think you have only to cast your eyes on this forum to realise that's what we all do. Skezier specialises in skyrants which I suspect are the best and most satisfying but bog standard rants are perfectly acceptable too.

Go ahead. You've started now so you'd better finish. We're all listening. Hope it helps.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I have spent most of today with my Dad. We were in Morrisons carpark and he was looking for a carpark space - so I said why not park in a disabled spot - his response you need a blue badge and you haven't got one of those and anyway you aren't disabled. So I told him that I'd been told to apply for a blue badge and he went "so you are now incapable of walking anywhere are you".

Later on he was really having a go at me about what I eat - I eat fine!

Anyway now the church nosyparkers are trying to find out whats wrong wiht me - so I shan't be going to that church on Sunday - one of them said we are ordinary people who care a lot - er no you are prying nosy parkers!!!

    Grrrr

    Hi Kneegirl,

This is one of the best places to have a rant. We all do it from time to time and just writing it down helps, doesn't it? You rant away girl. I hope you feel a bit better about it now. You tell 'em!

Ah parents! I remember them well. Lovely people full of unsolicited advice, often delivered at times when you just can't take another word of it. Ditto well-meaning churchpeople, neighbours friends etc etc Kneegirl, I think you probably need a longer rant than this. I'm pretty sure I would.

Oh Border, don't be so hard on yourself. Up your daily rant allowance. Some days we all need it.

The people at one of my churches are so flipping nosy - it isn't well meant they are purely prying nosy parkers!!! They really don't respect my privacy - one said I don't understand why you don't want people to know whats wrong with you physically - maybe because it's none of their flipping business!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Poor kneegirl! Sounds like you had a bit of a rotten day there.

Unfortunately sometimes people can be insensitive without intending to be, I hope your dad isn't normally like that! It could be he didn't realise how bad your arthur was, it could be that it upset him to realise you were at that stage - perhaps if you sat down and talked to him he would understand.

Ignore the people at church - easier said than done I know but if you want to tell them that's your choice, as is not wanting to tell them! You'd think they would be a bit more understanding. It seems a shame not to go any more because of it. If you were that way out you could always turn the tables on them - ask them about something they don't want to talk about!

I hope you feel better after the rant and the responses :)

    Hi Knee girl,

Its fine to rant and we all do it to varying degrees... i think I do too much actually but the sky rants... they are so good to be able to do....

Its not easy when you have had a run in with someone your close to and your dad is displaying a kind of denial and thats very hard to deal with.

Have you tried telling him calmly that your having it rough and your bones are letting you down? Sometimes they don't find it easy to accept and put their heads in the sand but by doing that he has made for a bad day for you to say the least.

I so hope you are feeling a bit better after getting this off your cheat? It can help some for sure. hang in there and I hope for a better tomorrow for you. Cris x

Hey Border Happy birthday and hope you enjoyed your day? x

    Hi

I go to 2 churches - and have emailed the vicar of the church concerned to tell him that I am seriously considering leaving his church because of people not respecting my privacy and constantly prying and intruding. The lady who said about them being ordinary people has also said that I'm being paranoid - er no you are being extremely nosy so please go away!!!!

    NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!

I returned to the charity shop I volunteer in today for a few hours and was told oh some couple from your church came in yesterday asking for you. "Oh yes?" I said - "What did they look like?" and she told me and I was like "what did you say?" and she said "oh I told them why you were in hospital" - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr how devious is that coming into my work to find out why I was in hospital - NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!! and definitely will not be going to that church tomorrow!!! Do you think I should email my vicar about it?
