Hi

My consultant has suggested that I do some gentle swimming for as long as I can manage.

How do I go about finding a swimming buddy as I don't fancy going on my own as I am 4 stone overweight.............

Anyone interested? x

Please don't worry about your weight all shapes and sizes go to my swimming pool and no one takes any notice... do you not have a friend or relative you can go with? I go at least twice a week sometimes on my own sometimes with my daughters... its very good for keeping your muscles strong and they in turn support your joints...
Our worst times are always our best lessons.

If you haven't got anyone, then I s'pose you're going to have to be brave and go alone. I assure you that people are so self-conscious that they don't even notice anyone else. Hold your head high and don't worry about your weight/how you look. I'm know I'm hypocritical because I am nervy about getting in a swimming costume but sometimes ya got to bite the bullet! xx

    Hi Kneegirl

I do understand how you feel about going on your own but it would only be the first time. After that it would be more familiar to you and you may well meet the same people the next time you go. I think you would feel very proud of yourself and so you should too.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.
