Unusual occurence today !

Strange thing happened this morning . I've heard it talked about , but never believed the rumours . I have not only seen a DD hug , but was priviledged to receive one myself today ! My hubby and I met up with the lovely DD and Mr DD today ; it was so nice to finally be able to put a name to the posts ! We spent a really lovely couple of hours with them , and yes everyone , DD is just as kind , thoughtful and down to earth in person as she seems on the forum ; she also has a wicked sense of humour which is a must for all of us who use this forum ! All in all a very enjoyable morning .

    Hi , Karen , hope you're feeling good today and getting lots of recuperating rest . My hubby and I had a great time and enjoyed spending some time with the DDs so yes we would like to meet up with them again but we don't want to monopolise their company and their leisure time while they are relaxing on their holiday . As they like our seaside town , we are hopeful that they will soon be back in Brighton so we can see them later on . Jillyb

    Hey-hey! I was a good girl and I did do a hug. It was lovely to meet up with Jilly, Mr Jilly and their lovely dog (an absolute sweetie, so well behaved) and yes, we had a jolly good old natter about arthritis but we covered other stuff too. It was a lovely, sunny morning and we were in the grounds of the Pavillion.

    Jilly, thank you for coming down into the town to meet up, that was extraordinarily kind of you, and it was lovely to meet you. It is odd putting a face to a name, isn't it? I was a little apprehensive but as soon as I saw you I knew it was all going to be OK! And it was! DD

    I think it's lovely that you got to meet up.. As you say DD, it is really nice to put a face to the name... I know about the apprehension, I've got to admit I was a little nervous back when me & Janet met the Lawsons, they were wonderful folks, and we also had the double pleasure as we also got to meet the lovely Nina Kkang & her three daughters... I think it's great.. Should be done more often..

    So glad you all had a great day down in Brighton...

    They have all been lovely......Cris was the first, luckily she was harmless or she may have been the last :lol:

    How nice to hear people have met up with DD and shared their post with us, she comes across as a lovely lady...I would like to meet her one day and her husband of course. She listens and shares her thoughts with us daily and it is so nice to know they are both enjoying their time...I went on to f/b a few months ago out of curiosity more than anything and people have profiles including personal pictures, but, I find you can build up a profile of people by reading what they write and their individual styles which is similar to AC forums blindly without seeing the personal photos...I find it intriuging. (spelling)? I personally have spoken to some really nice people since my involvement with AC and may it continue. Do a tour of the country DD, I sure we all love to meet you. John x
