Hi, im new on here, didnt know whether to join because my son doesnt have a jia diagnosis, he turned 5 in march and was recently diagnosed with chronic bilateral anterior uveitis and posterior synechiae 7 weeks ago, and just wondered if anyone here has had experience on uveitis.

He has been on pred forte drop for 5 week, sometimes every 2 hours and sometimes 4 times a day. He should be starting methotrexate soon, possibly this week.

I am 33 and i have recently been diagnosed with osteoarthiritis of knees and hypermobility

thanks for reading

    Hi S,

Welcome to the site  I can't help you with your sons problems I'm afraid-I don't know anything about uveitis. Have you tried the 'My Child has Arthritis forum'? You can also use the Search tool to look up any old posts.

I have OA and Fibromyalgia and still having tests done. I just wanted to say hello and hopefully see you posting again-you will get loads of support from the people on here. They've helped me through tough times and I know they are the ones that really know what's it like.

    Take care,

    Hi S,
Welcome to the forum from me too. It is so sad to hear you and your son are suffering so much. Heartbreaking when they are so young.
If you contact the help line team they will be able to give you more information and give you a chance to talk things through with them.
If you keep looking in I am sure someone will be able to answer your post better than I can.
You must look after yourself too as you have had a lot to take on in the last few months.
    Gentle hugs to you both,
    I

Hello S and welcome from me too.

I am so sorry to hear about your son's problems and about your recent diagnosis.

I don't have any experience of these things personally (I have RA) but I know that there are lots of knowledgeable peeps on the forum and you will get lots of support here and good advice.

    Thinking of you.
