My poor little cat is pregant. Quite heavily so, yet is is being terrorised by a massive black cat that keeps coming into our garden and tries to attack her.
Luckily my little dog Honey has been the heroine. First time she lunged at it grabbing it by the neck until it escaped over the back fence. I thought that would be enough to scare it off, but NO!! 3 times now it has returned. He is a bully and i am worried about the kittens and my cats health as it surely isnt doing her any good mentally.
She only goes out to go to the toilet now. Trouble is, i cant see down the garden at night and the last attack was after 11pm at night.

Thanks Jelly
Yes, she is very loved. I dont understand why this cat is stalking her though. Surely he must know she is pregnant so he has either done the job already or missed the boat LOL
I thought about water pistol but you would need one of those big ones and the seem to cost £15 upwards!! I guess i'll have to pay it if he shows up again.0 -
dotty back to work really does seem like he could be the one oh dear ..x catch up laterjelly0

We have 2 cats who keep sneaking in and eatting all bubba's food! and if that isn't enough they decide to spray every where in the utility room dirty sods! So we are trying to catch them both and now we leave the utility room door open so we can here when the cat flap is opening and when we know it isn't bubba (because he will be on his chair) Phil has the hose pipe ready and soaks the smelly buggers!! that soon has them running for the hills!! Hope your feline stalker does a disapearing act soon! Amanda (bubbadog)0

Hi Dotty
I think your little dog has to look after her.
I find hissing at intruders best.
Would she stay in and use a litter now she is so heavily pregnant?
Love

Thanks Bubbadog
Hi Toni
I tried a litter box last week but she wont have a bar of it. Shes very fussy where she goes. She uses a small patch of old flower bed at the bottom of the garden and will NOT go anywhere else!! Trouble is thats right where the bully boy comes through.
I havent wasted my money on the litter tray though as the impending babies will use it.0 -
Hi Dotty
Is the black cat new to your neighbourhood? Cats often behave aggressively towards other cats when they are trying to establish their territory. My cat was a terrible bully with a neighbour's cat when we first took him in as a stray, which was very embarrassing. After a while ( and several fights ) they worked out their territory between them and now leave each other alone, thankfully.
As your cat is pregnant, I think it would be a good idea to keep her in for the time being. I think she would use the litter tray if she had no alternative as cats are very clean animals. I would definitely keep her locked in at night because you wouldn't know if she was attacked, and she could be injured. You will have to keep frightening the black cat away whenever you see it in your garden ( shout, clap your hands, hiss, throw water at it ) until it gets the message that it's not wanted.
Good luck with the kittens ( I'm jealous as I love kittens )

Hi
I not sure but can you buy spray???? to put the cat off coming into your garden. I must admit we have a cat and local cats were coming in and stealing his food until our dog got hold of them.....don't worry he just gave them a scare...nipped them and barked a lot. I would keep her in at night...make sure she has done her business before it is dark and leave a litter tray down just in case. You could also phone your vet and ask for advice. When we moved our 1st cat across from Germany we had a terrible time with him settling. He was going to the toilet all over the house and would not go out. Turned out he was confused by all the new smells so we had to clean all the carpets and buy spray to neutralise and other pet scent. The vet was ace and did not cost a penny. Good luck with your cat and the kittens...0 -
Antifreeze and cat food owrks well so I'm told, or how about a brick and a bag and **** willow aka the gansta cat goes bye bye in de lake, you could always do a drive by and "pop a cap in it's a&$e, or split its wig" so to speak!.
Thing is you will have serious problems with it if it's as big and tough as you say, don't try and apease it it will just come around even more, it's obvously the boss so there is little you can do, that said you could do what a guy at work said he use to do and that was feed it catch it then drive it miles away and let it go, honestly he told me that's what he did he hates them so the cats were lucky he didn't top them I guess!.0 -
Mell, I'm speechless, and that takes a bit of doing :!:
It's a good job I know you well enough to realise that you are joking ( at least I hope you are  )
My cat was a stray who appeared out of nowhere 7 years ago. I always suspect that someone had dumped him because he was an aggressive cat ( probably caused by human cruelty in the first place ) It's taken 7 years of kindness and TLC to make him realise that not all human beings are going to be cruel towards him, but he is worth the effort.

Nothing for it but you'll have to accompany her for her late night wees just now then....
Oddly enough when my old Cat Eric was dying a few years ago neighbourhood cats very quickly took over our garden :x l had to hiss at them myself!!!
Love and good luck with the kitties
