Morning everyone, gonna be legless today and no not cause I have now been exposed to a lovely drink called pimms.

As oh tried to put on my leg (on me not him  ) this morning it hurt.
The stump bone is sore  so I have decided to give it a rest.
As you all know, I don't walk much at all, using elec chairs in house and scooters outside....but....I have been trying to walk and I think I have over done it.... Trying to do a few steps here and there around the house and actually enjoyed being the 5'5" again.
I know I am silly but just wanted to try. I have learn't my lesson and realize I should stick to the chairs.
My daughter is taking me shopping tomorrow so I have to rest it today and hopefully get it back on tomorrow.......otherwise I can't go

Oh my what am I like :?:

Stupid :!:

Take care everyone and thanks for reading

Think positive, Julie. Every crisis is an opportunity. If you're going to be legless anyway, get that bottle of Pimms out. I'll be down there asap.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hey Julie

Sorry to hear you are struggling today - bless your heart your subject line made me smirk. Get out another glass - and I will bring the strawberries, mint and cucumber for our session !
Keep your chin up and don't overdo it again !

    Julie

Sorry stumpy is being naughty and hope it stos hurting soon. Youve been a bit over zealous in the exercise department.

Hope you feel not so sore soon.

    Hi Julie
Ooops! Done too much eh? I know what feels like!
I hope that that having a day off from the leg will give your stump a chance to improve. You don`t want to miss out on the retail therapy now do you?!! In my opinion , retail therapy is the best type of therapy available and should be on prescription (with spending money included!)
    Take care xxx

Hi Julie, we all do it - push our bodies too far ... and end up paying for it! Rest up as you say and when soreness has passed build up the standing time even more slowly. Damn and blast hey.

    Enjoy trip out shopping tomorrow.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

Well, not wearing the leg for the day inspired me to do out some drawers in the comp/craft room......I havent finished them as there were too many but at least I have made a start.

Have a lovely weekend every one

You were doing the right thing, I have no doubt about that, and now you are doing the right thing in stopping trying to do the right thing. Have a break from it, I hope the soreness etc eases and soon, then get back to trying to the right thing but not as often. Does that sound like a plan? DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
