Sophie loves UGGs. They are soft, cosy and comfortable but they don't support my feet. I had it in my head that all trainers are ugly runners shoes and not suitable for 23 year old me to wear on a daily basis, especially not with skinny jeans. Shock horror!!!! Today, I managed to find an amazing pair that I love. Not only are they propers shoe that cover the ankles but they have streaks of turquoise and bright pink shoe laces and all for only £25! It might sound like an average every day thing for most people but accepting that I need to make more adjustments to my life has been a big deal.
I felt quite inspired after my shoe success and popped down to my local gym to become a member. Obviously, I can't do much exercise but my physio said 20 mins of swimming a few times a week would be a good start. My next task is finding suitable swimwear and my plan is to brave the water on monday morning! Wish me luck. Or rather, wish the other swimmers luck. I've piled on the pounds since my diagnosis.

And being 26 want something a bit funky!! So i went and got some hightops in a fab pink! and they support my ankles... so i know how you feel when finally find something!

Hi Starburst, congrats on finding some suitable footwear - you really will notice the difference! Good luck with the swimming
and you too, CPF with the aqua aerobics.
SpeedyI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -

Glad to hear you found some pretty trainers and at a great price too!
The physio has tasked me with doing exercise, we've discussed aquaerobics and she recommends it. I was going to go today but I've managed to screw my back up so it will have to wait till next week... I will go though!
