Hi
Ow, ow, ow!! I wazs just putting something in the bin and stepped back into the house and we have a new mat in our porch. I put bad leg on it, it slipped, pulling my knee further than it can go, let out a hell of a scream and couldnt move for about 10 mins....
It hurts, ow....

oouuucchhh Elaine, I can imagine how you are feeling. Sit yourself down with a cold pack on your knee, and stay like that for as long as you can.

Elaine you poor thing. Hope it recovers quickly but you won't forget that pain for a long time. I still cringe when I remember the pain from when my son jumped off the window ledge and onto my bed and the depresion in the mattress made my knee dip beyond its usual limits and I was in agony.

Hi Elaine,
Hope your knee has eased a little for you, fingers crossed that the swelling is not too bad.
Rest it as much as you can tonight and hopefully you will be able to get moving properly soon.

Hi Elaine, I can relate to that pain! It really is a sharp rushing pain isn't it and after a kind of throbbing? I have done it a couple of times and when you suffer with Arthritis/Osteoporosis it is easily done because of the weakness in the knee. Hope it eases soon for you, may take a few days! Take care Elaine. Amanda, (bubbadog). (())0

Hi Amanda
I think ive been lucky but initally it was like you say a sharp pain that let me know, i cant move any more than this! My knee is as weak as a kitten/new born lamb, in fact theirs os probably more stonger..

Hi Elaine, Sounds like you need to keep off it for a few days and see how it goes. I know you must think this is the last thing you want to do but to get it better you need to. Stay on settee or bed and rest knee with pillows raised. I find it comfortable with pillows under knee but you need to find most comfortable give it another 3 days if no change you really need medical help ie doc's or hospital incase you may have more damage than you think! That's the problem with this disease it can damage the joints and muscles worse than you can ever think! Let me know how it goes.Hope this helps ease the pain and discomfort even alittle bit. And if you ever just want to chat you are very welcome to private message me! Take care and hope your knee feels better soon.Amanda, (bubbadog). xx0

Is your knee better yet Elaine?

Hi Amanda
Aw thanks for your concern...I am okay though, think it was an intial jarring as yesterday went for a 40min walk and am just getting ready to go to gym for 1.5hours.....So i should be okay...Ive been very clumsy in past few days found that have walked and not lifted leg enough and caught it and on sunday evening was joking with dad and nearly fell over much to his amusement!!
Many a time ive spent with my leg propped up and used belts to lift my leg when i couldnt do it myself!!
Thanks for your nice message..

Hi Hileena
This app went better. I ignored the young taut ones boinging about and concentreated on me...
She measured me, everywhere, my bad leg (thigh) is two inches less than right one (my good leg) which shows i over compensate a heck of a lot, she reckons this is damage done which wont ever be corrected....I also had blow tests and bmi, blood pressure which wa sfine i mean my bmi is high but i will never be what they recommend for my height....One thing did puzzle me, she wieghed me, told me i was 98kgs, i knew that was wrong cos had weighed myself on our scales and im nearer to 105kgs...I did questiion it but am gooing to doctors on friday for prescritpion so will ask her to weigh me then...
Felt okay this time and wasnt put on machines couldnt do...So maybe i was hasty in my judgements last week...Trouble is have booked in another local palce for assessment too...OOoops, can see which one is best..I wouldnt say i will give up, i will try it once a week and for an hour at a time, no more as i am wallking too and hydro twice a week now...
Hope you can get something sorted for yourself...
