Thanks all for your kind words and thoughts.

I will reply properly tomorrow when I am more "with it" but just to say I am home and very tired but otherwise fine.

    Thanks again!

    Morning lovely peeps!

Just wanted to say thank you again for the kind thoughts and encouragement - really helped!

The infusion went fine thanks although they were concerned because my blood pressure was quite high so they decided to run the infusion more slowly so it seemed to take a very long time.

I'm fine today - not so zonked now the IV antihistamine has worn of. Just tired and a bit "wobbly" from time to time. Nothing new there then.

So that's it now for 6 months. Rituximab is quite slow to work apparently so I've been told I may start to feel some benefit within the next three months or so but not to worry if not cos it can take longer than that.

Ratface - you mention that you are due to start Rituximab soon - if you would like the benefit of my - now extensive  - experience, please feel free to send me a PM.

    Thanks again all.

    Lots love Tilly xxx

    Good news, Tillytop.

Thanks for letting us know. So, you'll be all ready for the Ironman/woman challenge in 3 months or so? I'll look forward to reading of your exploits.

Hope it all works really well for you.

    Hi Tilly,
I am glad you have finished the infusion, it does seem a long time to wait to see if it works but it is marvellous if it can carry you through for so long. Do you carry on taking all the other meds while you wait?
Oh do hope you get some results quicker than you think.

    Well done you.
    Hugs from, I x

    HI Tilly

so sorry I missed your pocket - and particularlly since you made it into mine today

glad you survived the experience, and I will keep what I can crossed that you start to see some decent results. Suddenly your infusion sounds tempting ... did I really read that right ... no more for 6 months   Makes every 8 weeks seem far too often :lol:

    big hugs

I hope you are doing ok and have no major side effects from this.

    Thankyou Ironic, Wonky and Suzy.

Ironic I do just continue with the other meds - and hopefully, if the Rituximab does its stuff, I will be able to reduce the steroids and possible reduce the dose of mtx a bit which would be good. And you are right it does seem a long to wait for results and I am not the most patient person in the world.

Wonky - please don't apologise, it was lovely of you to post on my thread when things are so tough for you at the moment. Yes, you did read right - only every six months and potentially longer between future Rituximab infusions which, if it does its stuff will be brill! Hope your infusion went well Wonky and that you are not too horribly washed out this time.

Suzy - lovely to hear from you! No side effects at all (yet). I was warned that I would probably feel rough and, because I don't, I'm now worrying it might not be working  . How stoopid is that?

    Thanks all,

    Love Tilly xxx

    Hi Tilly,
Thank you for answering me. That would be fantastic if you could decrease the mtx and only have the infusions twice a year.
Fingers crossed you feel the effects within the three months. It is amazing how things have progressed over the last few years. It gives us all hope.

    Thanks Poppy.

I feel fine actually cos I'm still getting the boost from the lovely steroid infusion . Just got to wait now to see if the magic happens.

Hope things are improving now for you Poppy.

Sorry, Tilly. I failed my magician's exams but here's one from Harry Potter - 'Cave inimicum' which is supposed 'to strengthen the enclosure against enemies.'

If it works can I have it back please?
