Sulfasalazine and infertility

Hi, my husband was diagnosed with RA 18 mths ago and has been taking sulfasalazine to manage it. We would like to have children but before and after results suggest the drugs have lowered his sperm count. We still have to discuss options with a rheumatologist but I was wondering if anyone has been in the same situation or if there are other drug options that don't affect fertility but are still safe to have children on.
