dont you just hate cold calls!

This morning alone i have had 4 cold calls and whats even more annoying is that they hold the line until it goes into answerphone then hang up without leaving a message grrrrr....there must be a way to stop them,when it was double glazing i found all you had to say was council house and they hung up on you lol!

    Yes Katknapp it is annoying especially if you have struggled to get to the phone in the first place.

    Thank you Julie.......i thought if i just ignored the phone they would give up but noooo so i thought i would answer and be abusive lol but it was one of those pre recorded messages which are even worse!At least when they knock at your door you have the pleasure of either being rude or letting the dog out at them lol

    Hi hun.
    There is a service that you can register with, it stops a good percentage of cold calls and also crap in the post.. I just can't remember what it is called though mi dear.. If you google it you might find it.
    Has worked for us..

    Is it the Telephone Preference Service or summat like that? I have a number in my diary for that but it could be hugely out of date. DD

    I get a lot of phone cold calls at the office,usually trying to get me to change phone supplier.I just tell them we haven't got a telephone,that really floors them!!................................. :???:
