I'm now having pain in the bottom of my back {left side} and my buttock
That is the the leg that hasnt been operated on?
Its been constant for about 5 days now and I dont know that I did anything differently.
Is it my other hip going now? As a lot of you know I was just a couple of weeks off having the 2nd THR when they decided to send me to a different health authority for my back.
I'm not sure that I want the 2nd one done if thats what it is although its verysore. I'm using my stick constantly now.....I dont normally.
Any advice welcome....Moan over now
Love

Hi Hileena
I can only say that I have arthritis in the lower back and at the moment because I cant lay on my side only on my back it is giving me a lot of jip. When have you got your app for the back and app re your other hip. I do hope that it does not take to long to get this sorted out. Sending you gentle hugs.

Hi Karen
The back specialist saw me once and discharged me.....nothing he could do except an op which he didnt advise. So not seeing him again.
The ortho bod that did my first THR 15 months ago.....I've got my 12 month appt with him next month I think its the 17th.
He was orioginally going to do the 2nd THR last Oct then decided my back needed sorting first....still not sorted....but I can imagine the ortho saying the 2nd one needs to be done and after the first one....dont know that I want the 2nd one done :?:

Hi Hileena,
It could well be the back flower and if the hip that needs doing is making you walk unevenly then that might be making it push on something and cause the pain. I get something similar but have also got iffy hips but they tell me that one is more likely to be the back.
If your seeing your ortho next month be sure to mention it to him as he might be able to help.

Hi Hineena,
Sorry I got it wrong, after seeing Chris's remark I agree with her. Because you other hip walking differently that is probably what is causing so much pain in your back. It needs to be mentioned.

Helppppp!!!! I know he said both needed doing......so do you think that means the other one has to be done now.....thought I might get away with it

Hi Hileena,
Wait and see what the ortho says before getting worked up. It so easily could be your back and some adjustment to walking might help. I know when I was trying to get back o my feet with the back thing they wouldn't let me have crutches or sticks as both are likely to effect your spine. Mine was having to mend up as best it could mind but ti might be possible to correct it maybe via the physio? ((((( ))))) and a stay calm draft Cris xx0 -
Hello Hileena
Sorry you are now having pain in the other hip. Like the others say, I do wonder if it could perhaps be referred pain. I have RA and I know that when I have been walking badly, due to probs with knees and feet, my hips have sometimes been really painful too, even though I know I don't have arthritis in my hips. One other thought - do you think it might be sciatic pain rather than joint pain? Was your description of pain in the buttock which made me think of that. I'm not sure but I think that too can be caused or aggravated by walking awkwardly.
Thinking of you.

Hi,
I had my acupuncture appointment this morning ....8.30am....thought there was only 1 8.30 in the day
I thought i would mention it to him incase it had something to do with the acupuncture.
He said it was a flare......I thought flares only happened in RA and other arthurs poss but not in OA which is what I have????? Any info on that please?? Anyway he stretched and manipulated my hip for a while.....then he did the acupuncture.
I dont feel any better but never do the day I have the acupuncture and from a long time back....I remember that after physio or being to an osteopatch you are sorer for a day or so.
Anyway thats the latest.
I'll be leaving for the Lakes first thing tomorrow {Fri} and will be back late Sund eveing.....so I will be back on line on Monday....I'll be on line of and on all day to day as well.

The way I feel its a good job its only 3 days.....not 2 weeks
But I'll be fine.....it will take my mind of it and I wont be running up and down stairs all day the way I normally do.
Hear you on Monday {or Sunday evening}
