Hello everyone

Hope you are all enjoying the bank hol, even though the weather here in yorks isn't that good.

I went away last week for a couple of days and while I was away the postman sneaked a letter through the box. It was the letter I have been nervously waiting for.......The Neurosurgery appointment.

For those who do not know.....I have to have my odontoid peg screwed and discs c4 and c5 at a later date.

My appointment to discuss the surgery further is June 23rd at 9.30 and also that day they say I will have a pre surgery assessment. Sooo it could be a good half day app.

Would it be possible to ask for you to jump in my pocket that day please as I am really scared.

    Count me in too. I can understand how apprehensive you are but I am pleased that this particular sword of Damocles has gone. This has been hanging over you for a very, very long time so I think it's good that you now know when this appointment is: it's a little bit of pressure relieved - or has it been applied somewhere else now? I'll be there, fizz and strawberries at the ready. DD

    Hi my peg on my neck had warn away so had to have bone grafts and pins put in 2 years ago I was in a halo for 3 months I have limited movement in my neck now.I'm ok now.So will you to good luck.

    Just realised it's the day after I see the ortho surgeon for my consult regarding my knees, have no idea what they're gonna say or plan on doing.. Lots of pocket hopping going on.


    Also realised sashasmum appears to be a newbie so welcome mi dear, hope you are alright..

    Thank you guys I knew I could count on all you lovely people.

    Looks like it will be a busy week for pocket duties so I will start stocking up on cakes and drink now. I will also start stocking up on positive vibes cause we will need lots to go round.

    Sashasmum, thankyou for telling me about your op. I wondered if I would be in a cage afterwards. I havent been told much at the moment.
    I would also like to welcome you to the forum.

    I just want to say how lucky I am to have all your support and for this I am truly grateful. Sue yes I will put a reminder near the time cause I expect you will not beable to resist those strawberrys, you will then be able to buy some more :lol:
    Amanda.....course you can bring bubba, but, I hope by the 23rd his paw is better, give under his chin a tickle from me.
    NB... you are not late, It is me that is very early rounding you all up :lol: Its the nerves you see :lol:
    Toni...Yes I am glad the letter is here, I am not constantly waiting now for the postman. I now have a date and a target.
