Am I a total fruit loop?

Hi all,

OK this is gonna be one of my strangest questions and while reading this post you can laugh cos im not sure if im going completely loopy at 29!!!

My bum and top of the sides of my legs are soooooooooo tender and when I mean tender I mean tender even to the slightest of touch.

Im always getting the usual aches pains and flare ups but even on good days im feel like wrapping myself in cotton wool!

Its at the point that even pulling up my trousers and them touching my legs hurts and sitting down I get a pain in my bum if that makes sense.

I have checked my fingers/ hands and nothings hurting on them so as the good old doctor doctor joke goes I havent broken my finger!

Its getting to the point that trying to put any pressure on the legs/bum area is not painful as such but very very uncomfortable that when my partner says can I have a cuddle I freeze cos I know its gonna hurt.

I havnt done anything out of the ordinary to suggest i might of pulled a muscle or anything so im just a bit confused

I did have steriod injections into the top of my legs a fornight ago but thats not helped my Arthur but doesnt explain why im getting the tenderness in my bum

any thoughts??????????????????????????

No idea hun... Bit weird though..
Maybe ring the helpline, might have some ideas on it.. :???:

I don't know if this will help but I have the same problem in all different parts of my body and so does my friend and we both have fibromyalgia, it might be worth asking your GP/rheumy about. It does stop hurting after a while, it just comes and goes with no reason. Hope you feel better soon and get it sorted.

Hi , I have fibro to , I have very painful parts of my body , just touching my back and bottom of my spine sometimes drives me mad it is so painful . It seems to just go all over my body . You never know it could be your problem ,I could'nt believe it when i was diagnosed with it . Hope you find out what is wrong soon .......jillyx

When my RA is misbehaving, I sometimes find I have sensations on the skin as if I have been burned and, as you say, it is very tender to touch. I have always put it down to inflammation (of what I'm not sure :roll: ).

Really hope that, preferably, it goes away soon or if not that you can find out what's causing it.

Your not alone there.... i know it doesn't help with the problem but at least knowing its not you might help?

I also 'might' have fibro but the tenderness I have is usually put down to the pa and the bones becoming inflamed where they attach...

The hip, bum and legs I have had but it backed ff after a few months... I think now it might have been that thing beginning with a B and I can't remember the word...

Did they say what they were injecting and hoping to help with flower? Wonder if you're seeing the consultant soon cus if not it might be worth seeing if you could? Here I am told to phone his secretary if I need to see him..... Its a regional thing and might be different there but a lot of us can do that and it might be worth you seeing if you could get looked at.

Thanks for your thoughts the steriod injections well basically I havent got a clue what they where for cos the consultant said my steriods werent working! Im really not sure what my diagnosis is at all! All the consultant has said is its not RA
Ive been on Sulf, steroids (12 a day im starting to get muscles on me muscels) n anti inflamatries for about 6 months now but not even the slightest of improvements. All thats happened is the pain has moved around my body abit causing the worst flare ups in me hips rather than me feet!

Been for a MRI today on my bum and back/hips so hopefully in the best way summet come ups.

Ive given uo totally with my hospital as ive had sooooooo many probelms from " shes on holiday phone back in a week" "sorry we cant find a record of you" "due to staff shortages we are unable to answer your call please hang up and dial 999 if its an emergency" to my GP refusing to see me and my blood nurse phoning me a month after my bloods came back as too high to tell me to have them done fortnightly which I do already and had had tests in the meantime!

Only satisfaction and help I get is on here. I know your not GP/medical professionals but you make more sense than any of the docs Ive seen!
